» MR UNYIME IDEM CHARGES UKANAFUN APPOINTEES ON PEACE AND SELFLESS SERVICE
While congratulating the appointees for the opportunity to serve, he urged them to use their various offices to contribute to the return of peace and development to the area. Mr Idem, who has been Special Adviser to the Council in the early 2000 also told the newly sworn-in appointees that posterity will judge them based on the legacies they will leave on the sands of time and urged them to write their names in gold by ensuring that only issues that will promote Ukanafun should be of interest to them. He offered to assist in the repair of the broken-down grader to enable the Council carry out grading and rehabilitation of roads in Ukanafun. Mr Idem later hosted thousands of Ukanafun indigenes who accompanied him back to his residence. He truly remains a man of the people in season and out of season.
