Breaking: Davido Dragged To Court Over alleged N4, 000,000 (Four Million Naira) Fraud

Osun State born Nigerian hip pop singer David Adedeji Adeleke aka DAVIDO has been dragged before Igbosere Magistrate Court 2 Lagos State over an alleged fraud of N4, 000,000.00 (Four Million Naira).

The matter which came up for mentioning on the 23rd of May, 2019 as No 16 on the case list at Magistrate Court 2 Igbosere. Listed as Defendants in the suit marked MCL/702/19 are: David Adedeji Adeleke (Davido) – his Personal Assistant: Busari Idris Temitiope (Alias Aloma) and; Davido Music Worldwide Limited music label.

When the matter was called, none of the Defendants, including Davido was in Court, neither were they represented by their lawyers. Counsel to the Claimant Alabh George Turnah, (MON) informed the Court that the Defendants according to the bailiff of the Court, refused to accept service of the originating processes and pleaded the Court for an order for substituted service, which the Court granted.

Investigation revealed that Davido and his Personal Assistant are been sued for fraudulently obtaining the sum of N4, 000,000.00 only from an American based Nigerian born upcoming artist Andre- Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori In the label of Always on Cash Records. Court papers revealed that Davido and his management collected the money as fee to feature in a musical collabo with artist Tjay sometime in January, 2019 but have since then failed to either make himself available for the music collabo or refund the money.

It is not clear how Davido and his handlers will deal with this matter, whether to go into full litigation or seek out of Court settlement with the Claimant who is already asking for 15% interest on the principal sum of N4,000,000.00 from the date of payment to any date that the sum is finally liquidated. This may turn out another Innoson and GTB episode should the talented singer and his team miss-handle the minor.

It is also suggested in certain quarters that this matter of fraud is capable of tainting the image of the singer and affect his credibility in the industry if not properly handled. Feelers from amongst industry players also suggests that Davido may be on his own in this matter as a number of his colleagues and associates who learnt of the Court case today and spoke to our correspondence on condition of anonymity expressed shock and sadness that Davido could engage in such petty fraud against an upcoming artist. Efforts to get to Davido and his management were unsuccessful as calls put through to their mobile phones rang out endlessly without been answered.

 

The case was however adjourned to the ”23rd of august 2019” for report of service and commencement of trial.

Nigerians React To Davido’s 02 Arena Concert

A storm of reactions by Nigerians has greeted Davido‘s concert at the 02 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

Davido‘s concert at the 02 Arena which is coming after Wizkid sold out the same venue in June 2018, started with sets from various DJs including Tim Westwood, DJ Ecool, DJ Bibi, and DJ So Good.

This online news medium reports that Victor AD, who just released a new song titled “Tire You” and featuring Davido, also performed.

After a brief delay, Idris Elba, an English actor, producer, musician and DJ, who was a special guest at the show, took to stage to introduce Davido, who came in and kicked off the night with one of his hit songs, “Aye”.

While some Nigerians praised Davido for the concert, others countered him, saying the show was not sold out as claimed by him.

Kemi Ololunyo Talks About Her Sex Life And How Davido Insulted Her

Controversial Nigerian journalist, Kemi Ololunyo in an interview with Saturday beat opened up about her sex life, how Davido disrespected her and how she found out thatDavido and Chioma’s relationship would soon hit the rock.

Recall that Kemi, made some claims on social media about Davido’s celebrated relationship with Chioma, stating that their romance had ended due to infidelity issues on the part of the singer. And Davido responded by saying:  “Old ass woman needs some **** I can tell it’s been a while, you are quite rusty down there! Needs oiling (sic).”

The journalist in her reaction to Davido’s comment retorted that Davido has insulted her sexuality.

“He insulted me with sexual references at my age; that is very disrespectful. My children are not moved at all by these things; they call me a social media queen, they love me so much and they have my back. Some of his fans troll me on social media, always threatening to beat me up but I always report their pages so that they would get suspended.”

And about her sex life, she said;

“I dated a man from Delta (State) after I came out of prison but before then, I had not dated anybody for ten years. I was not sexually active because I didn’t have any drive for sex due to the fact that I was circumcised.

“We had to go our separate ways later even though he was caring; he stood by me all through the time I was in prison. Our relationship fizzled out after I was involved in a controversy online, he could not stand my fame and all the attacks and attention I was getting; he had low self-esteem. I ended the relationship in August 2017. At 60, I will be married to a rich, caring and submissive man,” she said.

When asked if she had evidence to back up her claims on Davido’s infidelity in his relationship, she said she had evidence but as a journalist, it was ethical to protect her source.

“Evidence always exists but as a journalist, I have to protect my source. I am a very assertive and aggressive person, so sometimes people see me as nasty and rude; they always say I have some form of mental illness. The information I have were got from Chioma’s female pals; her friends talk to me a lot. I have evidence of everything I report,” she said.
