Taylor Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" Lyrics Decoded

Taylor Swift's new song, "You Need to Calm Down," is finally here!
After teasing the single during an Instagram Live yesterday, the 29-year-old singer released the tune on Friday. Along with sharing the lyric video for the instant hit on YouTube, Swift posted some cover art for the song on Instagram. The photo showed a picture of the 10-time Grammy winner rocking a giant back tattoo. The ink featured a bunch of butterflies flying up above a snake—a key symbol from her reputation era.
Swift spoke about her inspiration for the song during a recent interview with Apple Music's Beats 1.
"I've observed a lot of different people in our society who just put so much energy and effort into negativity, and it just made me feel like, 'You need to just calm down. Like, you're stressing yourself out. This seems like it's more about you than what you're going off about. Like, just calm down,'" she said.
For a deeper dive into the new song's lyrics, read on below.
Beyoncé's Publicist Speaks Out After That Viral Side-Eye Moment

As fans are well aware, Beyoncé made headlines yesterday after she was caught giving the wife of the Golden State Warriors owner some serious side-eye for leaning over her at Wednesday's game to talk to Jay-Z The woman, Nicole Curran, soon felt the wrath of the singer's fans, who were quick to defend their queen. Now, Beyoncé's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, is speaking out about the hate.
"I am looking back today at the start of The OTRII tour, one year ago," she wrote alongside a photo of Bey and Jay from the concert series. "It was a place of joy, unimaginable entertainment from two of the best performers in the world, and a place of love. Every single day on that tour I saw love. Which is why I also want to speak here to the beautiful BeyHiVE. I know your love runs deep but that love has to be given to every human. It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name. We love you."
Curran, who has reportedly received death threats over the incident and deleted her Instagram account, also addressed Beyoncé's fan base on Thursday and assured them she meant no harm.
"Listen Beehive," she commented on a picture, according to The Shade Room. "I respect Queen B. I love her! I talked to her husband twice tonight. First, to take a drink order for them both when they arrived as they were our guests. Second, to explain why I gave his wife a rose from a fan. All of this has been taken out of context. I am a happily married woman. Telling me to kill myself?????? Somehow I don't think she would support this."
In addition, she posted a picture of herself in which she appears to be fixing the "Formation" artist's hair.
"We should all help and support each other," she captioned the shot.
Curran also opened up about the hate she has received during an interview with ESPN.
"I've never experienced cyberbullying like this," she told the outlet. "I can't believe our players go through this. That kids go through this."
Now, it looks like Beyoncé wants to put an end to all the drama.

Madonna says she feels "raped" by the New York Times over their new profile about her

The profile, published online on Wednesday, Grigoriadis frequently mentions the difficulties she perceives Madonna having to navigate as a pop star as she gets older, “The sex bomb at 60 was slightly less than bionic…”. At another point, she writes, “I realized I couldn’t ask her about anything as personal as menopause, but I had to broach the topic of aging.”
In response to the write-up, Madonna wrote on her IG:
Madame on the cover of N.Y.T. Magazine photographed by my dear friend @jr..........Also sharing my fav photo that never made it in, along with pre-shoot chat and a celebratory glass of wine after many hours of work! To say that I was disappointed in the article would be an understatement-It seems. You can't fix society And its endless need to diminish, Disparage or degrade that which they know is good.Especially strong independent women. The journalist who wrote this article spent days and hours and months with me and was invited into a world which many people don't get to see, but chose to focus on trivial and superficial matters such as the ethnicity of my stand-in or the fabric of my curtains and never-ending comments about my age which would never have been mentioned had I been a MAN! Women have a really hard time being the champions of other women even if. they are posing as intellectual feminists.I'm sorry, I spent 5 minutes with her. It makes me feel raped. And yes I’m allowed to use that analogy having been raped at the age of 19. Further proof that the venerable N.Y.T. Is one of the founding fathers of the Patriarchy. And I say—-DEATH TO THE PATRIARCHY woven deep into the fabric of Society. I will never stop fighting to eradicate it.

Daisy Ridley's Diamond Ring Sparks Tom Bateman Engagement Rumors

The galaxy might be a little brighter because of the rock on Daisy Ridley's finger.
Fans are speculating that the Star Wars actress is engaged to her Murder on the Orient Express co-star Tom Bateman. The rumours started when Ridley was spotted rocking a diamond ring with a gold band on her wedding finger. Her sparkling diamond has since been seen on numerous occasions.
Moreover, the British tabloid, The Sun, via MSN reports that Bateman "introduced Daisy to staff at a Chicago hairdresser's as his fiancee."
It's been reported that the actors met on the set of their 2017 film, Murder on the Orient Express, in which Daisy played a damsel in distress. They appeared to have fallen in love rather fast since multiple outlets reported that they moved in together in early 2019. The lovebirds are reportedly sharing a chic home in one of London's upscale neighbourhoods.
Otherwise, little is known about the Star Wars star's love life. Over the years, she has managed to keep her private life very private.
In fact, the star entirely deleted her Instagram account, because she said she had "a lot of growing up to do."
However, fans will likely get to see more of Ridley when she begins promoting the latest installment of Star Wars, The Rise of the Skywalker, which has a December premiere date.
The 27-year-old is also the lead in a new sci-fi film titled Chaos Walking, although, it's unclear when the movie will hit theaters. Stars like Mads Mikkelsen and Nick Jonas are in the film as well, according to IMDB.
Humbsblog News has reached out to reps for Ridley and Bateman for comment.
Malika Haqq and Rapper O.T. Genasis Break Up After 2 Years

Malika Haqq and O.T. Genasis are going their separate ways.
After being together for almost two years, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and 31-year-old rapper have decided to call it quits. The two first sparked romance rumors in the fall of 2017, a few months after she and Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz-Magro broke up.
"Single," Haqq bluntly put it on Instagram on Friday morning, alongside a photo of her wearing a white, peek-a-boo lace dress with a matching lingerie set. From the looks of her fire 'gram image, it seems that she's ready for a fresh start.
The "Bae" rapper has yet to comment on the split.
However, fans of the couple had a hunch they were ready to move on from their relationship. In recent months, the pair rarely posted pics with each other, unlike before. Scroll through the rapper's Instagram page, and you'll find that the last time he posted about his leading lady was in October 2018.
On that same note, Malika last posted about the "Bae" singer in January. "3's Company," she wrote, as she and O.T. Genasis posed with friends Trey Songz, Jeezy, Jeannie Mai and Lori Harvey.
A month before, Malika and the 31-year-old rapper attended Kim Kardashian's larger-than-life Christmas party. The reality TV personality snapped a pic with BFF Khloe Kardashian and her beau. "My best damn friends," she captioned her Instagram post.
Showing her "#bae" even more support, Haqq shared a heartfelt post about Genasis weeks before the Kardashian party. "I am always happier for you than you are for yourself. I'm proud of you. You deserve everything great that's happening to you & more... #BAE."
While it's unknown why the two decided to break up, People reports things were a bit rocky last May. "Love doesn't fail, people do," the Dash Dolls alum revealed at the time. "Falling in love can be one of the most beautiful things. Unfortunately, being vulnerable to ones choices can lead to heart break. Healing and forgiving is a personal job done at every individuals pace. Life is one big lesson, a lesson in love."
Prior to her relationship with the "Cash on It" rapper, Malika dated Magro and rapper Chinx.
After she and the Jersey Shore star split in the summer of 2017, the reality TV personality told E! News she was looking for a "lover." "I think that I'm a lover that's looking for a lover and that's not going to be easy to find," she said. "It's not a quick, instantaneous thing and I just need to take my time."
In that same interview, she also opened up about wanting to eventually have a family of her own. "I pray that marriage and children are in my future. I don't know what will happen, but in the meantime I have amazing children in my life, so I don't lack baby love at all," she shared. "I would like to know what a little Malika looks like. I would."
Pauley Perrette Says She Is ''Terrified'' of NCIS Co-Star Mark Harmon ''Attacking'' Her

Pauley Perrette has confirmed rumors of Mark Harmon's alleged role in her 2017 exit from NCIS.
The actress spoke out against her longtime co-star on Twitter, saying she has no intentions of returning to the CBS drama because she is "terrified" of Harmon.
"NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it," Pauley wrote online. "I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You'll love it!"
Previously, in an attempt to quell speculation surrounding her departure from NCIS and "protect" the show's crew, Perrette tweeted in May 2018 a note that implied she suffered "multiple physical assaults" on set.
"There is a 'machine' keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity 'machine,'" she tweeted in part. "No morals, no obligation to truth, and I'm just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it. I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it's school or work, that you're required to go to? It's horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone."
CBS responded to the issue in a statement obtained by E! News, which read, "Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on NCIS and we are all going to miss her. Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows."
Perette and Harmon's NCIS characters notably did not share the screen together during Season 14. As some reports claim, tension arose between the pair when a dog belonging to Harmon allegedly attacked a crew member on set in 2016.
Harmon has not responded publicly to Perrette. E! News has reached out to his rep as well as CBS for comment.
Just last month, CBS picked up Pauley's new sitcom Broke for the upcoming season.
Additionally, Pauley tweeted photos of what she claimed are of a NCIS crew member with stitches and a black eye.
"You think I didn't expect blow back? You got me wrong. THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!? And I lost my job," she tweeted.
Love Island's Eyal Booker: 'No amount of support can prepare you for fame'

Former Love Islander Eyal Booker has spoken out to stand up for the show over the issues of diversity and support for contestants that have made headlines in recent weeks.
The reality star, who appeared in last year's Love Island alongside Dani Dyer, Jack Fincham, Megan Barton Hanson and Dr Alex George, told Sky News he could not fault producers for the care he received both before and after his time in the villa.
It comes after the series, which started its fifth season on Monday, promised to increase the level of support following the suicides of two former contestants.
The dating show, which sees young singles partnering up while spending the summer living in a villa in Majorca, has also faced criticism about diversity, or lack of it, when it comes to casting people of different body sizes and races.
Speaking about support and aftercare, Booker said: "I don't have a bad word to say because I have been supported before the process, during the process and after the process up until now, and I will continue to be supported.
"I think that as a show progresses, as it grows, as it builds, [the producers] start to put more in place because you realise that it's needed. I can't fault it for my own experience."
Lesbian couple are brutalized on London bus after they were seen kissing

The women - Melania Geymonat and her girlfriend Chris - were on a night bus in Camden, north London, in the early hours of May 30 when they were attacked.
Melania Geymonat took to Facebook to share photo of herself and her girlfriend, Chris, covered in blood, as she narrated the assault.
Geymonat said that at least four men started harassing her and her girlfriend when they saw them kissing on the upper deck of the bus.
She wrote: "They started behaving like hooligans, demanding that we kissed so they could enjoy watching, calling us 'lesbians' and describing sexual positions."
She said she tried to calm them down by making jokes but the attack only intensified. She said they "kept on harassing us, throwing us coins and becoming more enthusiastic about it."
Geymonat added: "The next thing I know is that Chris is in the middle of the bus fighting with them. On an impulse, I went over there only to find her face bleeding and three of them beating her up. The next thing I know is I'm being punched."
She continued: "I got dizzy at the sight of my blood and fell back."
Geymonat said she doesn't remember whether she lost consciousness. Then the bus stopped and police arrived, she said.
She went further to say in her post: "I don't know yet if my nose is broken, and I haven't been able to go back to work, but what upsets me the most is that VIOLENCE HAS BECOME A COMMON THING, that sometimes it's necessary to see a woman bleeding after having been punched to feel some kind of impact.
"We have to endure verbal harassment AND CHAUVINIST, MISOGYNISTIC AND HOMOPHOBIC VIOLENCE because when you stand up for yourself s**t like this happens."
London's Mayor, Sadiq Khan condemned the attack on Twitter, writing: "This was a disgusting, misogynistic attack. Hate crimes against the LGBT+ community will not be tolerated in London.
"The @metpoliceuk are investigating and arrests have been made. If you have any information - call 101."
The police said in a statement earlier Friday: "As they sat on the top deck they were approached by a group of four males who began to make lewd and homophobic comments to them. The women were then attacked and punched several times before the males ran off the bus. A phone and bag were stolen during the assault.
"Both women were taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries."
Police added later that arrests had been made, but gave no further details.

Beyonce fans urged not to 'spew hate' in star's name over viral video

Nicole Curran told a US reporter she had received death threats over a video of her talking to Beyonce's husband Jay-Z.
Beyonce's publicist has called for her fans not to "spew hate in her name" after a viral video forced a woman to quit Instagram.
Yvette Noel-Schure posted a picture of the star and husband Jay-Z, taken on their tour last year, on her own Instagram account to issue the message to fans, known as the "Beyhive".
It comes after a video featuring the megastar couple at a basketball game, sitting with Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob and his wife Nicole Curran, was shared by thousands of people across social media.
Jada Pinkett Smith Says There Have Been "Betrayals of the Heart" in Relationship With Will Smith

In a teaser for an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk, the 47-year-old actress can be seen talking to couples therapist Esther Perel about the various forms of relational betrayal.
"I'm asked a lot about, 'Is there infidelity in your relationship with Will?'" the Girls Trip star says. "And it's like, 'No, but there have been other betrayals of the heart that have been far bigger than I could even think in regards to an infidelity situation.'"
To be clear, Pinkett Smith doesn't specify what these situations entailed in the sneak peek. But as Perel notes, there can be several kinds of relational betrayal—including contempt, neglect, violence and indifference.
However, Pinkett Smith does say she's both cheated and been cheated on in relationships prior to Smith.
"I have to tell you: Me cheating on someone was more devastating than me being cheated on," she tells her mother and co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris. "Yes, it actually taught me to forgive when I got cheated on because I understood. And what I understood most was it didn't have anything to do with me."
From raising kids to squashing divorce rumors, Pinkett Smith and her hubby have experienced several highs and lows over the course of their relationship. In fact, the Oscar-nominated actor recalled one particularly rough patch that took place after his wife's 40th birthday during an October 2018 episode of Red Table Talk. While he said "divorce was never even an option" for the couple, he said the two "broke up" within their marriage and "got back together again."
"[We] had to rebuild with new rules and something way, completely different," he said.
Is It a Happy Reunion for 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?'s Chantel and Pedro?

"I feel so disappointed because we talk about this one, and I telling her that I need my own time in the Dominican Republic and with my friend, with my family. And she say, ‘No.' She say only, ‘I gonna come there,'" Pedro says in the exclusive preview.
Despite what everyone told her, Chantel seemed determined to go get her man back—or settle things once and for all.
"My parents think that it's a bad idea for me to follow Pedro because Pedro's family is not on good terms with me," Chantel says. But with all of his plans for a mysterious business and the way divorce was being hurled around, Chantel isn't just going to let life happen to her. "Now I'm feeling like I really need to go there and find out for myself what's going on," she says.
In a twist, Pedro was there at the airport to get her, with balloon and flowers in hand just like the old days. This gives Chantel hope.
"In the beginning, Chantel and me, I say, ‘I have the perfect woman in the world. I feel like heaven.' But now it's so different. But, even though I'm disappointed with Chantel, that she coming, I want her to know that I love her anyways," Pedro says.
But it's not exactly a warm welcome and all their troubles melt away. From the start, Chantel puts her foot down about Pedro's family. Little does she know his family already decided she wasn't welcome in their home.
"While I'm in the Dominican Republic, I'm not going to stay with Pedro's mom and sister because I don't trust them with anything. I'm just going to leave it at that," Chantel says.
Jeremy Kyle asked to attend parliament's reality TV inquiry

Jeremy Kyle has been asked to attend the parliamentary inquiry into reality TV.
The digital, culture, media and sport (DCMS) committee inquiry was launched last month, within hours of ITV announcing that it had axed The Jeremy Kyle Show following the death of a participant.
DCMS committee chairman Damian Collins MP said: "We're hoping that Jeremy Kyle will take this opportunity to come and answer questions about measures taken to prepare and support contestants.
"As someone who was at the centre of this long-running show, we believe that his perspective on reality TV will be of particular value to our inquiry."
