Just In: 19-year-old Super Eagles new goalkeeper, Okoye Maduka leaves ladies drooling for more

While the men might be concerned with how good Okoye Emilio Maduka who recently got a spot in the Super Eagles is, the ladies are out here wilding over him being handsome. 

The Nigerian-born German goalkeeper, plies his trade with German second division side Fortuna Düsseldorf II. He was handed his first national team call up alongside Joe Aribo by Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr, ahead of the international friendly against Ukraine. 

Fortuna Dusseldorf’s Maduka Okoye and Glasgow Rangers’ Joe Aribo are part of Nigeria’s 23-man squad that will be facing Andriy Shevchenko’s men on September 10, as part of their preparations for November’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic.

Corpse found in Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny's home in Egypt

A dead body was reportedly found in Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny's home in Egypt.

According to Gazetta, the midfielder's father found the corpse at the house in the city of Mahalla Al-Kubra.

The shocking discovery was made on Friday, July 26, 2019, before police were alerted. The home where the body was found is currently under construction.

The website 24.ae claim the body was found ‘in the patio’ at the home.

Police are yet to formally identify the deceased and it is not known whether it was a criminal act or an accident but an investigation has been launched.

Nigeria will respond to Algeria setback - Moses Simon

After the three-time African champions were defeated in Afcon sem-final, the forward has backed his side to respond.

Moses Simon believes Nigeria will recover from their 2-1 defeat to Algeria ahead of Wednesday’s third place game.

Gernot Rohr’s men had started the Algeria game on the wrong foot after William Troost-Ekong’s own goal. Late on Riyad Mahrez powered home the winner after Odion Ighalo’s equaliser.

Defeat to the Desert Foxes mean the Super Eagles have been eliminated in five of their last six semi-finals at Afcon, after qualifying in six of their previous seven.

However, Rohr’s team still have the third-place medal to fight for, and Simon backed his teammates to refocus ahead of the Tunisia clash.

Rohr: Super Eagles thought Algerians were tired

The three-time African champions were shocked by a stunning free-kick at the death of their semi-final game on Sunday.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr admitted his players were relaxed at the end of the game when they wanted to force Algeria into an additional 30 minutes of football in Sunday's semi-final clash.

The Super Eagles fought back from a goal deficit in the second half to hold Djamel Belmadi's men to a 1-1 draw until injury time.

After four additional minutes in stoppage time, Riyad Mahrez rose to the occasion and scored a free-kick in the last minute of the game to break Nigerian hearts.

Nigeria has crashed out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The Super Eagles were defeated by Algeria's Desert Foxes 2-1 at the semi-final match which held at the Cairo International stadium today Sunday July 14th.

Algeria hero Mahrez is world class – Odemwingie

The Manchester City star scored a last-minute free-kick for the Desert Foxes to progress to the final of the continental competition.

Former Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie has described Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez as a world class player after his match-winning goal helped his country defeat the Super Eagles in the semi-final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

Mahrez converted a last-minute free-kick in added time to send Algeria through to the final with a 2-1 win on Sunday.

William Troost-Ekong’s own goal in the first half put the North Africans ahead but Odion Ighalo’s effort from the spot drew both teams level in the 72nd minute.

Odemwingie rued Nigeria’s loss in Cairo but also congratulated Algeria for securing their first final berth at Afcon since their triumph in 1990.

‘We expect victory as well’ - Kanu confident Nigeria can defeat Algeria

The two-time Africa Player of the Year is confident of his country’s chances heading into the crucial match against the North Africans.

Nigeria legend Nwankwo Kanu is confident about his nation’s chances of overcoming Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final on Sunday.

The three-time African kings go into this encounter as favourites having silenced South Africa – the team which dismissed hosts Egypt in the Round of 16.

Victory for the Super Eagles will hand them a sixth Afcon final appearance, while the Desert Foxes would settle for a losers final place.

Defeat to Madagascar in the group stage prompted criticism of Gernot Rohr’s side, but Kanu, Nigeria’s most decorated player, is upbeat ahead of the clash.

“The boys are really in good sprit. As the game goes on, the confidence level is high. The spirit is too strong and the Nigerian spirit is there with them.

“And we on our side are supporting them all the way and I believe they are going to deliver on Sunday.”

Nigeria have not lost to the North Africans since 1990, their recent victory taking place during qualification for Russia 2018. However, he feels the battle in Cairo will be a different spectacle.

“It’s a different ball game because this is the semi-final of the biggest tournament in Africa so, we should not say that because we have beaten them before, we are going to do same,” he continued.

“With that on our mind, we are going to work hard and deliver.

“This game is more important because I believe if we get to the final, we are going to do it. Against Algeria, all hands will be on deck and we are going to win.”

AFCON 2019 Betting Preview: Algeria vs Nigeria: Super Eagles to qualify for the final

The three-time champions will be hoping to use their edge over the North Africans to make their first Afcon final appearance in six years.

The Cairo International Stadium will host Nigeria for the second time in a row at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, as they tackle Algeria in the semi-finals on Sunday night.

Man lists all his fiancée has done for him to appreciate her, but gets mocked by Twitter users

Things took a different twist for a Twitter user after listing all the things the woman he will be walking down the aisle with this weekend has done for him on the platform. 

@BobPhondo in his tweets, recounted how his fiancée paid his rent when she realized he had no place to stay when they met. He also disclosed that she bought him his first car, gave him her laptop when his was bad, covered costs of their dates for a year among other things. However he got told by Twitters users that he is getting adopted, as they also described his fiancée as a 'hobosexual' and attached the 'gold-digger' tag to him.
