Real Madrid have once again been crowned champions of Europe for the 13th time as they defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final by 3-1.
Karim Benzema scored the first goal in bizarre fashion as the Reds goalkeeper Lucas Karius throws the ball against the Frenchman's leg to score Madrid's first goal.
Sadio Mane produced an equalizer as he was at the right place and at the right time to score Liverpool's equalizer after Dejan Lovern flicked his header from a set piece.
Substitute Gareth Bale scored an acrobatic over-head kick to put Los Blancos back in the lead and then added another from a long range strike as Karius fails to handle properly.
Real also had injury casualty as Dani Carvajal was stretchered off after a tackle from behind from Robertson which ended the Spaniards participation in the match prematurely. Both sides remained stalemates at half time but the talking points of the match all came in the second as the game produced four goals.
Benzema's goal was quickly canceled out by Mane who was Liverpool's best player on the night but the acrobatic kick put the Madridstars back in front. Then Bale's left-foot shot was spilled by Karius who will be counting his losses on the night as the Galaticos ran way with the win.
Zinedine Zidane is now the first coach to win the Champions League in three consecutive seasons after leading Los Blancos to their 13th title. On the other hand, Klopp has lost his third final as a manger, one for Borussia Dortmund and two for the Anfield giants in both the Europa League and the Champions League respectively.
