Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva was seen arriving for national duty in Oieras on Tuesday, May 22, ahead of the 2018 World Cup. What made matters more interesting is the glaring contrast of Bernardo's car compared to the rest of his teammates who were seen alighting from state-of-the-art machines fit for royalty. Manuel Fernandes arrived fashionably in his Ferrari 458, Ricardo Quaresma in his German Mercedes S-Class whilst the humble City midfielder drove in with his simple Smart car.
Interestingly, out of most of his teammates, Bernardo has had a remarkable season and played a pivotal role in leading the Citizens to lifting the 2017/2018 English Premiership and Carabao cup. Already a fan favourite in City, the Portuguese star continues to show that indeed not all footballers are all about the flashy swag and spendthrift mentality.
