GREENWELL FERTILIZER ANOTHER PLUS TO GOV UDOM - INFO BOSS, CHARLES UDOH

Governor Udom Emmanuel has added another plus to the catalogue of achievements of his 36 months old administration with the coming alive in the state of the Greenwell Fertilizer Plant.

The multi-fertilizer blending plant, with an annual production capacity of N400,000 metric tons, the highest in Nigeria and located at Oku Abak in Abak LGA of the State, has unequivocally heightened the  job creation, wealth creation and industrialization- drive of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Speaking shortly after inspection tour of the plant, early today, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh who led a cross section of the media community on the facility visit said, with the full operation of the Greenwell Fertilizer Plant now in the State, Governor Udom Emmanuel has expressed himself as a Promise Keeping Governor, who makes good his promise.

“With the Greenwell Fertilizer now on sale and supply to other states of Nigeria, it shows that Governor Udom Emmanuel is “a Talk and Do Governor”. He had said the Fertilizer plant will be functional and commissioned in May 2018, and that has come to be, just as the Governor said” the Information Boss emphasized.

Charles Udoh said, the Fertilizer blending plant which is operated under PPP arrangement like all other factories attracted to the state runs with government equity share and has an added advantage of not only blending fertilizers for trees and vegetables but can blend on demand any kind of fertilizer with regards to soil type to suit the crop under cultivation.

While imploring farmers groups to make maximum use of the opportunity to enhance their productivity, Udoh said, with the plant in the state, farmers are sure of very high yields which will in turn boost the agricultural sector of the state economy.

He urged Akwa Ibom people in the Diaspora to emulate the Managing Director of the Greenwell Fertilizer, Engr Johnny Udoe, by bringing in their skills and initiatives to support the development efforts of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Conducting the Information Commissioner, Charles Udoh and his team round the facility, the Managing Director of the Greenwell Fertilizer Plant, Engr. Johnny Udoe said, the plant with the distribution capacity of 6 truck-loads of Fertilizer per day sources its raw materials both locally and internationally with Urea one of the most important ingredients.

He said the plant with the capacity of blending assorted and muti-purpose  types of fertilizer is at the moment producing 3 high in demand types of fertilizer including; 20:10:10; 12:12 17 + 2mgo and 15:15:15.

The Greenwell Fertilizer Plant with a staff strength of 30, all indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, gearing towards expansion to bring in animal feeds production has an economic viable value-chain opportunities for the people.
