Manchester City have reportedly agreed to sign Barcelona academy star Adria Bernabe in the summer.
Spanish journalist Albert Roge claimed the 16-year-old has agreed a pre-contract with the Manchester based club.
Another journalist Gerard Romero later added that the Citizens will pay only Bernabe's training fees till his deal runs out at the end of the season.
Nou Camp chiefs will be bitterly disappointed to lose Bernabe after grooming the young lad from their Catalan rivals Espanyol.
Former Barcelona director of football, Txiki Begiristain, who is now City's employee is working behind the scenes to develop their own academy. The Etihad outfit are investing heavily in facilities and bringing in young talent from all over Europe with the hope of rivaling Barca's famous La Masia complex.
Pep Guardiola has a proven track record for bringing through homegrown stars including Tosin Adarabioyo, Brahim Diaz, Phil Foden and Oleksandar Zinchenko.
