DON'T DATE A CHEATER

There has been this myth circulated by some people that, there is nothing like 'cheating in dating', which is not true. Cheating simply means an act of dishonesty. When you are dating anyone who lies to you, flirts with others, has sex with them, etc, such a person is not loyal to you and this is termed as cheating. This is different from adultery which is voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not their spouse.

This is something you should take serious if you find yourself in any relationship because, you are studying someone for marriage. This is a period of discovery, trying to find the character and true nature of your supposed spouse to be. If there is a chance they are having the same relationship they have with you, with others, it should raise your eye brows.

In this life, the secret of success is found in our daily routine; a sequence of actions regularly followed. What you do every day is what you become successful at. If you are dating someone today and they are busily sleeping with others, flirting with them, lying to you; and you believe in the lies of some marriage counselors that there is no cheating in dating, you only end up getting married to one of the world's most successful cheater.

The bible cautions "No! For unless you are honest in small matters, you won’t be in large ones. If you cheat even a little, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities" - Luke 16:10 (TLB).

One question you need to ask yourself, why should I be with a cheater, why should I accept lies in dating? The truth is, whenever someone lies to you, it simply means they don't respect you enough to be honest with you. They probably think you are too stupid to know the difference.

When you learn to characterize people by their actions, you will never be fooled by their words. If you are a lady, never allow any man to fill you with the lie that men are born to cheat or that men will always cheat on you. He should rather help you to understand that not all men are the same. He should prove his faithfulness to you in the dating process.

He should have the moral and self-control over his manhood and his eyes. You should be enough for him. He should be content with you. He should stay faithful to you in this short period of knowing him. Don't accept games from any man, you should be 100% with each other. You should have respect, trust and loyalty for each other.

You should always remember that no respect is ever gained if you are unfaithful. In the way that no man wants to get married to a whore, is the same way you should never agree to be with a womanizer.

In conclusion "Lips that tell the truth will last forever, but a lying tongue lasts only for a little while" - Proverbs 12:19 (NLV).
