Some oil workers were ambushed by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno
They were sent on an oil exploration mission in the state Many people are feared dead following an attack by Boko Haram terrorists on oil exploration workers around Jibi village situated between Magumeri and Gubio Local Government Areas of Borno state.
Vanguard reports that the incident occoured on Tuesday, July 25 when the oil workers who were working for a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation were ambushed by the terrorists.
It was reported that some members of the Civilian Joint Task Force who accompanied them were also feared dead.
Top politicians in the region on the condition of anonymity confirmed the attack.
Meanwhile, Four Boko Haram suspects including a father and son affiliated with the group were arrested by some soldiers in conjunction with vigilantes at Kurnari village and Nayinawa in Yobe state.
