Olu Onagoruwa, former attorney-general, suffered a stroke after his son was brutally killed by the military.
Many civil and human rights activist have continues to mourn the demise of Onagoruwa considered as one of them Nigeria’s former attorney-general Dr Olu Onagoruwa is dead.
Onagoruwa, a known human rights activist, was said to have died in the early hours of Friday, July 21 at age 80.
The former Attorney-General of the Federation under the military government between 1993 and 1994 was said to have suffered a stroke following the brutal killing of his son by the military.
Respected across Africa, Onagoruwa was part of those who drafted the Ethiopian constitution in 1994. The lawyer reportedly studied at the University of London for his LL.B; LL.M and PhD degrees. He returned to Nigeria to attend the Law School.
