Col. Ali directed the immediate removal of illegal Customs check-points across the country
Nigeria's boss of the Customs Service, Col. Hamid Ali has issued a directive to ensure free flow of goods in the country.
The directive came after a major initiative of the Ease of Doing Business initiatives of the federal government.

Col. Hamid Ali, (rtd) the Comptroller-General of Customs, has directed the immediate removal of all illegal Customs check-points, across the country.
He issued the directive which was contained in a circular on Monday, July 24, in Abuja, through Mr A.A. Dangaladima, the acting Deputy Comptroller of Customs in charge of Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation.
This directive was as a result of the mandate by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) which aims to make doing business easier for the private sector.
According to Vanguard, the directive states that any check-point beyond 40 kilometers from the border would be deemed illegal.
