APC chairmanship candidate Sakiru Balogun dies in auto crash on Lagos LG polls eve
A PSP truck which lost control has killed Sakiru Alabi Balogun, a chairmanship aspirant in the APC of Ikotun/ Igando Local Council Development Area.
Balogun contested the APC primaries but couldn’t clinch the party’s ticket.
His corpse has been deposited in the morgue Sakiru Alabi Balogun, a chairmanship aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Ikotun/ Igando Local Council Development Area, on Friday, July 21, died in an auto crash along LASU/ Isheri road in Igando area of Lagos state.
According to a report on Vanguard, the accident involved a LAWMA truck, a four-feet container and late Balogun’s Special Utility Vehicle jeep.
The report also suggested that some party members and loyalists who were unaware of Balogun’s death, expressed shock on getting to their polling units after they were informed of his death. Some of them visited the deceased home to ascertain the authenticity of the news.
