The Fleabag creator has been drafted in to help liven up the script for the as-yet-untitled 25th James Bond film.
Newly-appointed James Bond writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge has said she wants female characters in the next instalment to "feel like real people".
The Fleabag creator was drafted in to help liven up the script for the as-yet-untitled 25th entry in the series, reportedly at the request of Daniel Craig.
Her involvement was officially confirmed during a media event in Jamaica to mark the start of filming last month, and the Killing Eve writer has said she wants to draw on the feminist wit she is known for.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast, the 33-year-old said: "It's such an exciting story and it's just been a thrill to work on."
Regarding the women who will come across Bond on his next mission, Waller-Bridge added: "It's mainly about making them feel like real people, which they do in the previous films. I think Daniel's films have had really fantastic Bond girls and it's about keeping that up."
Naomie Harris returns as Eve Moneypenny and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann in the film, with Blade Runner 2049 actress Ana De Armas and Captain Marvel's Lashana Lynch among the newcomers.
Bond girls in previous Craig outings include Eva Green, Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton.
