One way or another, you may have encountered a face that looks eerily familiar, but you just can’t place where you’ve seen it. You rack your brain as hard as you can only to realize that hey, that person actually looks like a celebrity. Well, with billions of souls currently living in the planet, and with hundreds of billions more who lived before us, there’s bound to be someone who was alive at one point in history who looked similar to someone famous today.
Here are just a few famous celebrities with historical doppelgangers.

Mark Zuckerberg and Philip IV of Spain


First one on the list is the iconic technology entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg and Philip IV the King of Spain. While there are no known connections between the two, and aside from the lack of an imposing underbite on Zuckerberg, Mark Zuckerberg and Philip IV shared an uncanny resemblance.
Mark Zuckerberg himself is the Harvard Alumni best known for launching the social media platform Facebook from his dormitory room on February 2004 with some of his college dormmates.
With a net worth of about $55 billion as of 2018, Zuckerberg has been named by Time Magazine as one of the world’s 100 most wealthy and influential people and is a man poised to make even bigger waves in the digital arena in the near future.

Mark’s doppelganger, Philip IV of Spain, ruled the Spanish Empire from his ascension to the Spanish throne in 1621 until his death in Portugal in 1640. He was best known for his appreciation and patronage of the arts as well as for leading Spain through the Thirty Years’ War. At the height of his power, he ruled over 4.7 million square miles of territory all across the globe, with millions of souls regarding him as their sole leader.

General Douglas MacArthur and Bruce Willis


The action star Bruce Willis and General Douglas MacArthur is the next pair in our list. One is an actor, producer, and singer known for his roles in many action films, while the other was a maverick five-star general and field marshal active in both World Wars and the Korean War. Comparing both photos, you’d be forgiven if you thought they were related.
Bruce Willis is one of the most widely regarded action heroes of this generation with his portrayal as the lead protagonist in the Die Hard franchise, as well as other similar roles in films. He has garnered many accolades during his film career, including two Emmy Awards, two People’s Choice Awards, and a Golden Globe. General Douglas MacArthur was a man fated to become a military leader, being born into a family with long military roots. He was an exceptional general with an extensive record, having served in World War I all the way to World War II and into the Korean War.
General MacArthur was known for his strong sense of duty as well as his maverick style, which got him into hot water from numerous members of the US government in more than one occasion.
