Go and Deliver PDP in Your Respective Wards Or Forget Appointments ~Paul Ekpo To Udom's Aides By Mfreke Udonkang

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Monday, led by the cerebral Chairman Obong Paul Ekpo and the state working committee continued its Federal Constituency Tour at Ibiaku Ntok Okpo in Ikono Local Government, which also hosted their closest neighbor Ini LGA.

According to the party's ideology, it's a necessity to go round and carry out the principle that sustains the quintessence of the party's visions ahead of 2019 and beyond.

The meeting which saw the inauguration of Local government Party Excos had in attendance Political bigwigs and deluged electorates from the two local governments.

Speaking at the event, the State Chairman lauded the two Local Government Chairmen for welcoming the party to the region, he also praised the citizens for keeping unalloyed faith in the party and beseeched party faithfuls to love one another.

He used the opportunity to advice politicians that are not favored by the Party's zoning system not to waste money on purchasing forms "if zoning system does not favour you, don't bother buying nomination form, but if you insist, note that once your money enters the party's account it cannot be refunded".

He also reminded the would-be delegates on the need to choose a popular candidate who can win election on ground for the party, and cautioned them to avoid being swayed and used by political gabbers.

"PDP is the only well organized and coordinated party in Nigeria, so when you want to nominate, nominate a strong candidate who will win election for the party " he emphasized that zoning and streamlining is a policy which was adopted by the party long ago, to balance power in some places that doesn't have a representative, and shall be adhered to.

Obong Paul Ekpo used that avenue to advise all political office holders in the State to take governance back to their different wards and units, he stressed that political offices will never be delapsed by any existed appointee if the party doesn't behold work done and results from their various wards and units.

A former Finance Commissioner in the State who spoke for Ikono, Sir Sunday Udo Akpan, reassured the party of the same support given during the 2015 general elections, he thank the state governor for revamping Ikono General Hospital, constructing of roads and renovating College of Arts and Sciences at Nung Ukim.

He also pleaded with desperate politicians whose party zoning doesn't favour to stand down their ambition and work towards the progress of the Party
"I plead with all aspirants to hearken to the advice of the State chairman of PDP, if zoning doesn't favour, have a rethink ", he solicited.

Speaking for Ini Local government was their political leader, Chief Ukata S. Akpan, thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for keeping to his campaign promises and embarking on lives touching projects which includes Rice plantation and Garri processing mills which the people of the state are also benefitting, he also assured the Party that Ini local government will deliver bloc for the governor and Senator Godswill Akpabio during the forth coming election.
