South African girl gets a Porsche as gift on her birthday

Some parents take gift giving to a whole new level. From super expensive watches to fancy cars, they hold nothing back when spoiling their kids. 

A video went viral recently, showing a Johannesburg girl getting surprised at school by her dad, or at least we hope it was her dad, for her 18th birthday. 

The footage shows the girl, her dad and a few of her fellow pupils making their way to the parking lot, where a brand new Porsche was waiting for her. 

The older man covered her eyes as they made their way to the luxury car, and she constantly heard saying she's going to cry. 

The video shook social media, with even a South African former police minister Fikile Mbalula sharing it on his Twitter page. 

Tweeps were quick to respond to the former police minister's question on whether they would buy their kids such extravagant gifts.
