The Red Devils are in blazing hot form, and are joint-top of the Premier League with an unbeaten record ahead of a mouthwatering clash after the international break.
Mourinho, who has also managed Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan across an esteemed career, is confident he is at the peak of his powers and has ‘matured’ since his earlier days in management.
He told Portuguese outlet Record: “I am a much better coach today, precisely because of the different control of my emotions. “The way I deal with difficulties. I feel more mature.”
The Red devils boss has heaped praise on top goalscorer, Romelu Lukaku, who he also worked with during his time at Stamford Bridge.
“I don’t want to speak about this progress because if I do that it looks like we have done something extraordinary in three months, something he hasn’t done in the other years of his career,” he said at the end of last month. “It’s not fair. It’s been about evolution.
I think every step in his career he has got it, he has grabbed it with both hands since his first loan to West Brom. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands, fighting for his evolution.
