The entire family of 7 lived happily in the town of Gwoza, Borno, until it was attacked and over-run by the dreaded terrorist sect

After the terrible ordeal, the young girl and the remaining members of her family managed to flee to Hong in Adamawa state.

Thankfully, she has been able to continue with her education in the new location, in a UNICEF-supported school.

A young girl from Borno state, in the north-east region of Nigeria, has described how her father and teacher were both killed by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group.

Her story was shared via the twitter handle of UNICEF Nigeria, @UNICEF_Nigeria. The tweet simply read : "Her father was killed.

"Her teacher was killed. "Her school was destroyed. "School children are #NotATarget."
