Osita Chidioka has emerged winner of the primary election of the United Progressive Party

The now, flag bearer of the party, won with a landslide victory of over 97% with 1,222 votes of the 1,328 total votes cast.

Chudi Offordile, the only candidate contesting against him, pulled just 98 votes.
