Osun state weightlifter Islamia Yusuf has her eyes on the getting as many medals as possible when she represents Nigeria at the African Junior Weightlifting Championship

One of the revelations of the recently concluded National Youth Games in Ilorin, Islamia Yusuf, will jet out to Uganda next week to represent Nigeria at the African Junior Weightlifting Championship holding this month October.

Islamia, one of the representatives of Osun state at the third edition of the annual youth games, won three gold medals at the event where thirty three states participated.

She has since been called to the National camp in Abuja and is one of the few weightlifters selected to represent the country at the championship. Islamia has also remained outstanding among her colleagues at the training.
