The Sun reports that Abdulsalami spoke at the official launch of Emeka Anyaoku’s Institute of International Studies and Diplomacy, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State on Wednesday, October 4.
The former head of state called on youths to build on the legacies of the founding fathers so that the country does not break up.
He said: “We must allow peace to reign without which development would be impossible. Altogether, there is strength in diversity. All hands must be on deck to make our great Nigeria greater.”
Gen. Theophilus Danjuma who was also at the event expressed his support the call for restructuring. He however posited that this must be pursued without violence.
