The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has listed states affected by Lassa fever cases
It said the outbreak was active in Ondo, Edo, Plateau, Bauchi, Ogun, Kaduna, Kwara and Lagos states.
A total of 263 cases had been classified, 249 confirmed and 85 deaths recorded.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, September 7, confirmed, at least one reported Lassa fever case, in each of 19 states in the current outbreak which started in December 2016.
The development was published in a report on NCDC’s website. The 19 states are:
1. Ogun 2. Bauchi 3. Plateau 4. Ebonyi 5. Ondo 6, Edo 7. Taraba 8. Nasarawa 9. Rivers 10. Kaduna 11. Gombe 12. Cross River 13. Borno 14. Kano 15. Kogi 16. Enugu 17. Anambra 18. Kwara 19. Lagos. The report said the outbreak was active in Ondo, Edo, Plateau, Bauchi, Ogun, Kaduna, Kwara and Lagos states.
The report said that since the outset of the outbreak in December 2016, a total of 263 cases had been classified, 249 confirmed and 85 deaths recorded.
