Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is in the state to assess the havoc caused by the massive flood.
Osinbajo will also visit Internally Displaced Camps (IDPs) during his trip to the state.
Many residents in the state are hoping that Osinbajo will bring a message of relief from the nation's capital, Abuja Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived Makurdi, the Benue state capital for an on-the-spot assessment of the recent flood that ravaged parts of the state.
Osinbajo's visit was earlier announced in statement by the chief press secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, Terver Akase, on Wednesday, September 6.
According to the statement, Osinbajo during his trip will visit IDP camps, meet with influential traditional ruler; Tor Tiv and attend a small reception organised by the state government.
