Liverpool were beaten 5-0 on Saturday by hosts Manchester City

Premier League giants Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, September 9 produced an astonishing performance as they defeated bitter rivals Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium. 

No one would have thought that Liverpool would be annihilated like this at the Etihad considering how they decimated Arsenal in their last game. 

But Jurgen Klopp's men were really taught a good football lesson by Manchester City who have signified their intention to fight for the Premier League title this season.

Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus scored two goals in the encounter, while Leroy Sane also netted twice in the victory at the Etihad Stadium. 

Argentine superstar Sergio Aguero scored the first goal for the hosts in the 24th minutes after being wonderfully set up by Gabriel Jesus.
