The music star was said to have been given the honour of the King of Music due to his contribution to the society via his voice.
It appears that his title did not go down well with famous Kannywood actor, Falalu Dorayi.
He disclosed that the council does not recognise the efforts of Hausa singers who deserve the title instead.
He said: “It is not surprising, because northern elites have been like that; they look for us only when they are in need afterwards they short change us for Lagos chaps.
All sleepless nights our musicians have had to bring our traditional leaders and northern politicians to the limelight all they get in return was to have the title shipped to Lagos.”
According to Daily Trust who further spoke with the movie producer over the phone, he disclosed that justice should be done adding that, the only one that deserves this title is Nazir Ahmed.
