A man identified as Chief Agbo Ella has addressed the media for the first time since his son transformed into a woman

I’ll accept her bride price from any man - Father of Nigerian transgender woman

The chief who is the father of Nigerian transgender woman known as Miss Sahhara shared his thoughts on his son’s change into a woman.

In an interview with Idoma Voice, the man expressed that Miss Sahhara would always be his child no matter what happens.

He stated that despite popular speculation he never disowned his daughter and he would never disown her for changing her gender.

Chief Ella said: “He is was my son and now he is my daughter. I have never disowned him at anytime. He is my son even till today. I am the legal father wherever he goes.

Now that he has changed himself to what he is now, whatever name he chooses to keep to himself, it is his own will."

The chief further noted that if Miss Sahhara decides to marry a husband he would support her and accept bride price from any man willing to marry her.
