Awokunle on the fateful day had entered into Onunrin’s compound in Iree where Idowu lives and tied his ram to a stake around 6am and made away with it.
He was eventually caught and taken to the police station where he was later taken to the magistrate court in Osogbo, Osun state capital.
At the court, gathered that Awokunle was sentenced to six months imprisonment.
The police prosecutor, Elisa Olusegun said the accused person committed the offence contrary to Section 383 and punishable under Section 390(9) of the criminal code, cap 34, Vol. II, Laws of Osun state of Nigeria, 2003.
The suspect later pleaded guilty to the one count-charge of theft levelled against him and pleaded for mercy.
