Nollywood Actress Chika Ike who revealed a few weeks ago that she has gained admission into Harvard Business School

The actress had earlier disclosed that it took her five years of waiting to get into the school after being declined admission severally. 

She shared a picture on her Instagram page showing how hard she is studying.

18-year-old woman surprised many by becoming Somalia’s first mechanic

What boys can do girls can do! Meet 18-year-old girl who became Somalia’s first female mechanic

Her dream was, however, not to be mechanic, but circumstances forced her. 

She has been under sharp criticism, but that has never stopped her from doing her job Who would have thought that a young girl could become mechanic in Somalia? 

In a country where such jobs are preserved for men, it was simply inconceivable. 

But it happened. Nasra Haji, an ambitious 18-year-old girl from Hiran made history by becoming the first ever female mechanic in Somalia. 

“I specialize in repairing different types of cars -- luxury cars, bullet proof cars, and pickups. Sometimes I service trucks when they are brought to the garage,” she says.

We can sometimes bear weird, awkward or outright funny names. These types of names are not unique to any group in the world as every ethnicity has its own share of them. Even some English names are funny and awkward. I've seen my own fair share of some of these types of names across various Nigerian ethnic groups. Some are first names but most are surnames. Let's have some fun and list some of these names we have come across or heard of. If your name happens to turn up, please don't take it personally. Fayose: I’m glad that southeast governors discussed with Kanu

Governor Ayodele Fayose says the utterances and actions of President Buhari led to the agitations currently being witnessed in the country.

Fayose states that he is committed to the call for full and total restructuring of Nigeria through dialogue and negotiation.

The governor says he is glad that southeast governors have come to the realisation that they cannot ignore the agitation in the southeast region Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari for the agitations that have arisen in several parts of the country. 

The Ekiti state governor claimed that the utterances and actions of Buhari, which he said did not represent unity, fuelled the agitations, the Punch reports.

Fayose made the statement on Thursday, August 31, in reaction to the meeting of governors of the south-east states with leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. 

The governor said he was committed to the call for full and total restructuring of Nigeria through dialogue and negotiation because it is too late for Nigeria to disintegrate.

Pastor Joel, a fan of Cameroon, has predicted that the Super Eagles will lose to the Indomitable Lions

Joel believes the Indomitable Lions will take all three points when they face Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.

Nigeria are targeting their 12th win over Cameroon Cameroon-born Nigerian, Pastor Joel is confident that the Indomitable Lions will beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. 

Cameroon and Nigeria face off in a doubleheader on Friday September 1 and Monday September 4 for the top spot in Group B of African qualifiers. 

Although Cameroon are second in the group after two games with two points while Nigeria top with six points, Joel believes the Indomitable Lions will take all three points when they face Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.

Ethiopian Airlines’ head for international services, Esayas Woldemariam, told the Associated Press news agency that the negotiations follow a request by Nigeria’s aviation ministry.

“We definitely are willing and able to take over the management of Arik Air,” he told AP.

State-owned Ethiopian Airlines is Africa's most profitable carrier.
