DON'T LET BREAK UP STEAL YOUR SMILE by Counselor Adofoli

I have seen babies smile back when you smile at them but I don’t see them frown when you frown. They may get scared, alarmed or even cry, because that is their nature. They don’t change because you changed, for these babies may have been smiling even before they were born.

But the story is not the same with people who fall in love. A lot change from being the nice, beautiful people they are into bitter, revengeful, etc, all because somebody hurt them or didn’t love them.

Some even build frowns on their faces, fortified wall around their hearts, while others push away anyone who comes their way. Yet they have no idea if that will attract their soul mates.

You are in relationship to be happy. To smile, to laugh, to make memories, not to be constantly upset, hurting and crying.

It really hurts when you give someone all your honesty, commitment and trust and they return the favor with deceit, betrayal, and excruciating pain. But don't let your loyalty become slavery, If they don't appreciate what you bring to the table. Let them eat alone.

You need to learn the difference between holding a hand and falling in love. You need to know that sometimes kisses don't always mean something. Promises can be broken just as easily as they were made, and as hard as it is to believe, sometimes goodbyes are forever.

With time, you will get over it. Everything heals. Your heart heals. The mind heals. Wounds heal. Your happiness is always going to come back. Bad times don’t last.

Don't let the one who didn't love you change you into who you are not. Good people don’t go bad but they rather get better. Its only the weak ones who go bad when they allow other weak people to change them. It happens because they are not strong enough to let go.

A diamond does not stop being a diamond and become a regular rock just because a few couldn't afford it. It remains a treasure. A good person doesn't become anything but a better person, regardless of what they are hit with.

If you find yourself in this situation, ponder over this; Proverbs 4:14-16 "Do not go where evil people go. Do not follow the example of the wicked. Don't do it! Keep away from evil! Refuse it and go on your way. Wicked people cannot sleep unless they have done something wrong. They lie awake unless they have hurt someone".
