Today being International Women's day offers me a perfect opportunity to write for women. Being a Counselor my focus is mainly on the family, love and relationship.
The scripture says, after God had created everything, He felt there is a need for one special person, a companion for the man he put in charge of all his creation, a helper. "The Lord God said, “It isn’t good for the man to live alone. I need to make a suitable partner for him". - Genesis 2:18 (CEV).
So women are the most beautiful creation of God. No matter which form or way they come into our lives, you can feel that beauty.
If they come to you as a daughter, you can feel innocence, you never run out of care if they come in the form of a sister, you can always be assured of warmness if they come in the form of a friend, they define passion when they are in love with you.
You can feel her dedication in the form of a wife, you can see her divinity in the form of a mother, you can see her blessings in the form of grandma and above all, her heart is so tender yet strong.
But the question is, how do we treat this gift? To some, we have become onions who constantly make them cry; to others, they are doormats on whom we step each day, or a toy they play with each day or things they used.
Making women feel they are treated less than they deserve, so they advocated equal right thinking that will solve most of their troubles.
Some of us might not have come this far if not for the blessing of a woman in our life as a mother, who gave life to us, who gives us respect, love and gratitude. Who believe in us, who instill values in us, nurture us, fight for us even when the world gave up on us, including our fathers.
We need to be very careful the way we treat women for God counts her tears each time she express what her mouth can't say.
The woman came out of a man’s rib, not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but from the side to be equal with. Under the arm to be protected and next to the heart to be loved. A woman brought you into this world, so you have no right to disrespect one.
Growing up, my siblings and I were single handedly raised by my mother. I saw her fight for us and how strongly she comes against anyone who came between us. Recently I had an opportunity during her visit to ask her why and this was her answer "I gave you my life and you give me a reason to live, you are my world and my everything so I couldn’t stand anyone or thing that comes between us".
I felt tears on my chest. In fact, breaking a woman's heart is deeper than people realize. It destroys her outlook on love, her future relationships, and her peace within herself. Don’t let her fall for you, if you don’t plan on catching her.
In conclusion, a beautiful woman smiles in trials, keeps herself calm and grows stronger through love and prayer. If you are born a woman, I want you to know you are not lesser of a person. You are not just beautiful, but special. You must know your value and "... must also be serious. They must not gossip or be heavy drinkers, and they must be faithful in everything they do". - 1 Timothy 3:11 (CEV).
