11' JUST OVER! The ensuing corner is met by Firmino in the centre and he gets plenty of pace behind his header, but it crashes onto the roof of the net!
10' RICO SAVES! The excellent response from Liverpool continues as Mane does well to get into a pocket of space in the area and on the end of a pull-back, but his effort is parried behind smartly by Rico! They're knocking on the door!
8' Penalty appeals denied! Kjaer shoves Mane to ground, clearly blocking his path to goal without playing the ball, and despite being just a few feet away, the referee doesn't award a penalty! A bit of controversy to add to Liverpool fans' frustrations.
7' Liverpool respond admirably to the early set-back, nearly equalising inside of two minutes. Georginio Wijnaldum has a go at goal from just outside the penaly area, and his effort takes a generous deflection to leave the keeper flat-footed, but drifts inches wide of the near post!

5' Smart running on the overlap from Escudero, whose cross somehow gets through Lovren, as he's credited with an assist.

21' BACK ON LEVEL TERMS! That's a goal out of the top drawer from Liverpool! Splendid interplay as they break forward, with Moreno played through on the end of a one-two with Henderson, before rifling a pass across the face of goal where Firmino is waiting to redirect it into the empty net! Stunning!
19' Sevilla remain well organised in defence, but they're dropping deeper and deeper towards their own goal as they struggle to find a way to pass out from deep in their end. They really are inviting Liverpool to attack - not what you want to do up against this sort of quality.
17' Poorly worked free-kick from Liverpool as they win one just to the left of the penalty area, a few yards out from goal. Moreno winds up sending in a cross, but there's too much height and not nearly enough pace behind it as Sevilla clear their lines with ease.
15' Liverpool remain very much in the ascendency, but Sevilla's defence is proving tough to breach. The hosts are mounting attack after attack, but the final ball has just eluded them thus far.
13' STAT: Liverpool have won their opening group game in each of their last three Champions League appearances. However, they have failed to win any of their last five group games in the competition (D2 L3).

5' SEVILLA STUN ANFIELD! Wissam Ben Yedder is in the right place at the right time to scrape home a simple finish into an empty net after Dejan Lovren made an absolute mess of a Sergio Escudero cross in from the left! It was a swift and smart attacking move from the visitors, but Lovren should have seen it away with ease!
3' There's a splendid atmosphere at Anfield, with these Liverpool supporters having endured a close to 500 day Champions League drought. Despite the raccous atmosphere, Sevilla start with plenty of confidence, no strangers to the European scene, in what is undoubtedly their toughest away test of the group stage.
1' AND THEY'RE OFF! Liverpool get the match underway attacking right to left in their red strip, with Sevilla in white.
Eduardo Berizzo makes five changes to his side from the victory over Eibar. Ever Banega is restored after serving a suspension on the weekend, at the expense of Ganso. Simon Kjaer, Nicolas Pareja, Guido Pizarro and Joaquin Correa are also brought into the side, replacing Daniel Carrico, Clement Lenglet, Ganso, Pablo Sarabia and Nolito.
Jurgen Klopp makes three changes from the 5-0 thumping suffered at the hands of Manchester City on Saturday. Loris Karius starts ahead of Simon Mignolet after being named the first-choice keeper for cup competitions this season, while Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren are brought into the side at the expense of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ragnar Klavan.
SUBS: Corchia, Carrico, Krohn-Dehli, Soria, Sarabia, Muriel, Vazquez.
SEVILLA (4-3-3): Rico; Mercado, Kjaer, Pareja, Escudero; N'Zonzi, Banega, Pizarro; Navas, Correa, Ben Yedder.
SUBS: Milner, Coutinho, Sturridge, Klavan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Robertson.
LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Karius; Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno; Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Mane, Firmino.
