Nigerian student wins Hessselben scholarship to attend leadership summit in United States

A Lagos state university student, Pelumi Olugbenga, has won Hessselben scholarship award to attend leadership summit in United States (US). He won the scholarship having come first ahead of 49 student leaders that were eventually selected across the six continents of the world with only five from Africa including Pelumi Olugbenga. Hesselben scholarship is awarded to the best student in Nigerian university because there were several applications from accomplished university students across the globe Pelumi Olugbenga, a quintessential 300-level student from the Department of History and International Studies, Faculty of Arts, Lagos state University, has won Hessselben scholarship award to attend leadership summit in United States (US). Olugbenga emerged as one of the five newly selected Hesselbein International Scholars from Africa who will participate in the 2017 Hesselbein Global Leadership Summit at the prestigious Hesselbein Global Academy for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America in July, 2017.
