Maritime Academy of Nigeria HND Admission Form 2019/2020 Academic Session

The Management of Maritime Academy of Nigeria hereby invites suitable and qualified candidates for admission into various Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the Academy for the 2019/2020 Academic Session.

Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND Courses & Duration.

The duration of Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes is two (2) years, divided into four (4) semesters. The following programmes are on offer:

Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) HND Admission Requirements.

Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.
  1. Nautical Science
  2. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include.
    – Mathematics
    – English Language,
    – Physics
    – Geography,
    – and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
  3. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Nautical Science with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.
  4. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
  5. Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
  6. Marine Engineering
  7. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include
    – Mathematics
    – English Language,
    – Physics,
    – Chemistry,
    – and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS
  8. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Marine Engineering with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.
  9. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
  10. Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
  11. Maritime Transport and Business Management
  12. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
    – Mathematics,
    – English Language,
    – Economics,
    – and any two of Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting and Business Management obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.
  13. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number
  14. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organization.
  15. Applicants with PASS at National Diploma level from Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.
ACADEMY TRANSCRIPT
Academic Transcript of Applicants from other accredited institution must reach the Academic Registrar on or before the Closure of application portal and a copy to admission@maritimeacademy.gov.ng.
