Marketing Strategy.
- Add value:
When I talk of adding value, you have to add something extra to the same thing everyone is making. Chin-chin is easy to make and a large number of people will engage in the same business. When you add something extra, it will make your product unique and outstanding.
A good example, the story of the man that came up with the idea of using chicken instead of beef to make burgers, it actually sounded stupid initially, but when he tried selling it customers found it taste better than buggers made with beef. If you really want to make it in your chin-chin business you have to add value to the way it is made.
- Market well: First, start with people around you and inform them about your intention to make it a business. You can also take it to your place of work, but make sure you don’t sell on credit, because in your place of work most people would want to buy on credit. Not only your place of work take a step, go to other offices, banks and so on.
- Be regular in production: It is one thing to establish a customer, and it is also another thing to keep the relationship. Your customers can only be yours if you supply your chin-chin daily without ceasing. In order to achieve this, you have to maintain contact with them to know when your product is needed.
- Roll over your profits: In every business it is either you get increasing or decreasing, there is no average ground. Patience is the top secret so roll over your profit and with time you will be joyed.
- Get patented: As your business expands and your product becomes popular because of its uniqueness, it is advisable that you register your products under a name with the corporate Affairs Commission and NAFDAC.
With this you will have the sole right to sell the product and no one else will imitate your style, and the law will protect you against people who may try to do this.
- Employ people to assist you. When you have succeeding doing all these, it is time you become the boss. You can now employ someone to assist you. As your business expands, you will need more hands. Not just someone to help you in the chin-chin making but also someone to help in keeping records of income and expenditure.
This will go a long way as in helping you solve your problems, and also solve the problem of unemployment.
