Although Senator Bob decided not to make his 2018 birthday celebration an elaborate event, high profiled citizens in and outside the state, gathered in his residence to celebrate the Distinguished Senator for the legacies he had made, in his years of existence on the earth.
Speaking with this reporter, some of the big wigs who were present at the event, paid glowing tributes to senator Effiong Bob, saying that he is a visionary leader who is passionate about touching lives and creating lasting impacts in the society.
The people observed that Bob's birthday is significant, as it coincides with Nigeria's independence.
Senator Effiong Bob thanked God for preserving him to witness a new dawn in his life. He said that his birthday constantly reminds him of God’s grace and mercies upon his life.
Several designs and birthday cakes were presented to Senator Effiong Bob by individuals, political and professional colleagues, as well as different political and socio-cultural groups.
