Lovers Almost Lynched For Having Sex During Funeral In Anambra

Two lovers recently escaped being lynched for openly having sex during a funeral in Umuduru Community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

It was gathered that but for the intervention of some elders in the village, the lovers would have been lynched to death for publicly committing the abominable act in the neighborhood, Southern City News reports.

According to a source, after saving the two ‘lovers’, the elders asked the man to bring six cartons of beer and some cash, in order to appease the gods of the land.

“This abominable act took place during a burial ceremony of a lady at Umuduru Village, Ihiala.

“It was gathered from an eyewitness that a woman believed to be a commercial sex worker living in one of the brothels in this community, apparently under an influence, said she wanted to perform `a show’.

“As part of the show, she stripped and dragged a young man simply known as `Chinwuba’ from Ogboro Umunwaji Village in Ihiala out of the crowd. Both engaged in a sex orgy right in front of onlookers with impunity.

“Some angry youths pounced on them and in the process, the lady escaped. But Chinwuba was not that lucky. It took the intervention of the elders who restrained the irate youths from sending the man to his early grave.

“The elders fined him six cartons of beer and an undisclosed amount of money. They (elders) said the fine was to appease the gods of the land for the abominable act,” the source said.

Meanwhile, members of the Anambra State House of Assembly have raised alarm over the rampaging activities of herdsmen in the state.

The members representing Anambra West Constituency, Hon. Victor Okoye and his counterpart, representing Orumba North Constituency, Hon. Romanus Obi raised the alarm on the floor of the house during a plenary session on Friday, Dec. 15th.

Okoye who is the Majority Leader in the House, expressed worries over the recent destruction of crops in some communities in Anambra West Constituency by cattle belonging to Fulani herdsmen , called on the leaders of herdsmen in Anambra State to abide by the agreement they reached with the state government on the activities of the herdsmen.

According to the lawmaker, he has presented a motion entitled, “Need to curtail the activities of Fulani Herdsmen in Anambra State,” to the hallowed chambers, lamenting that the Federal Government appeared to have left the people to mourn their fate.

Okoye also disclosed that Fulani herdsmen attacked some communities in Anambra West Council Area where they allegedly destroyed crops and sacked many farmers from their various farmlands in his constituency.

He appealed to the state government to intervene and stop the carnage in his area.
