Everybody Is Saying The Same Thing About Kevin De Bruyne's Celebration vs Spurs

Just hours before kick-off, Manchester City midfielder David Silva was ruled out of Saturday's game against Tottenham because of personal reasons.

Rumours emerged that it was baby-related, but Manchester City correspondent Sam Lee confirmed that was untrue, but whatever the situation surrounding his absence, Kevin De Bruyne apparently paid tribute to his teammate during the game, according to the Telegraph.

After netting another wonderful goal, De Bruyne appeared to pay tribute to Silva by making his number 21 shirt number with his two hands - a classy gesture from the Belgian.

Or did he pay tribute to Silva? During and after the Spurs game, many people suggested that the midfielder made the gesture after Manchester City's 2-1 victory over rivals Manchester United.

One Twitter user said: "Did De Bruyne just take the p*ss out of Man United with his celebration" while another said: "De Bruyne obviously signalling 2-1 in his celebration there as another pop at Mourinho."

As we all know, Sunday's Manchester derby was a feisty affair but it wasn't until after the game that tempers flared big-time, with widespread media reports saying that it kicked off in the tunnel at Old Trafford.
