CAN: FG needs to take decisive steps against Boko Haram, herdsmen

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the federal government to take decisive steps in dismantling Boko Haram and herdsmen in the country.

The general secretary, CAN, Rev Musa Asake, who said this at a news conference at the association’s secretariat on Friday, April 27, in Abuja, said the menace of the two entities was becoming unbearable in the country.

The association strongly condemned the killings in the country and urged the government to immediately halt the murderous activities of insurgents in the country.

“There is the need for the stepping up of interventions, particularly from the government, so that these killings and bloodletting in Nigeria will be discontinued,’’ he said. He also urged the National Assembly to intensify its mandate of checking the Executive and upholding the supremacy of the constitution.

NOTHING IS TOO SMALL FOR AKWA IBOM STATE AND UDOM EMMANUEL

Author: Aniekeme Finbarr

From 1st October 1979 to 31 December, 1983, Sam Onunaka Mbakwe was Governor of Imo State (what is today, Imo, Abia and Ebonyi States). History validates him as one of the greatest leaders to emerge from the Eastern part of Nigeria. The name Mbakwe is synonymous with charisma, performance and activism, so much that the press nicknamed him, “the weeping Governor” for consistently arguing against the neglect of his state by the Federal Government. He was always advocating for his people.  Mbakwe without a doubt made fine imprints in his time building several roads, industries, a state owned university, etc. The Imo Modern Poultry Complex, Avutu, the Alumunium Smelter Company, Inyishi, the Amaraku Power Station, Imo state University and Progress Bank are some of his legacy projects.

One of Mbakwe’s most daring moves in office as Governor was to build an airport from communal efforts. It was a bold attempt that drew a fair share of praise and lashes. Mbakwe solicited funds from everyone and everywhere and at all occasions he never failed to add the phrase, “Nothing is too small for Imo Airport”. Mbakwe encouraged everyone to contribute his or her quota to the airport project, after all, “nothing is too small for Imo Airport”. The phrase was very popular in the 1980s, everyone used it frequently to solicit money from friends, “Guy, find me transport, anything you have at all, nothing is too small for Imo Airport”.

Like Mbakwe’s Imo State, Akwa Ibom State is currently building on many fronts. From agriculture to infrastructure, sports, health, industrialization, rural development and education. Every sector is receiving a fair share of projects and attention to make life meaningful for the teeming populace and I tell you, nothing is too small for Akwa Ibom’s development. Under the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel, there is a renewed spirit of communality, political inclusion, unity, cohesion and oneness. The Governor invites every son and daughter of the state to rise to the faith of their inherent potentials.

Nothing is too small for every citizen to contribute to make Akwa Ibom an enviable state. We must together be self-appointed promoters of the Akwa Ibom brand. The rest of the world should read of positive tidings from the state. We can tell the rest of the world that Akwa Ibom State is beautiful, peaceful and green. We can tell the world that we have abundant natural and human resources, a 7,081 SQ of arable land, waters and one of the most intelligent set of people in the country. Nothing is too small if we tell the world of our moderate climate, our beautiful ecological landscape endowed with a wide variety of agricultural, petroleum, mineral, marine and wildlife opportunities.

Nothing is too small if we tell the world that Statistics shows that Akwa Ibom is second on the table of the few states in Nigeria that attract foreign investors. The industrialization agenda is blooming with the Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Factory, the largest on the continent and the Metering Solutions Factory both commissioned and running.

Jubilee Syringe Factory was Commissioned by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on September 23,2017 produces One million syringes daily. The syringe Factory currently employs 70 Akwa Ibom people, who were trained in Turkey with just five experts working there. Currently, more Akwa Ibom youths are abroad undergoing training and will return to boost the manpower needs of the company, as the factory looks to expand in future. Amazed by this development, Vice President Osinbajo, who is of the APC said Governor Udom Emmanuel is a clever Governor.

Nothing is too small if we tell the world that Akwa Ibom state is a new destination for sports in Nigeria. We can tell the world that Governor Udom Emmanuel is working and achieving so much success in developing our sports sector in less than three years. Akwa United football Club, for the first time in over twenty years of her existence was inspired to fourth position on the National League table under the Udom Emmanuel led administration. Akwa United played her maiden international tournament, the CAF Confederations Cup following the Dakkada philosophy the new management of the club put together by Governor Udom Emmanuel imbibed. Akwa United won her first ever major trophy in 2016 after Governor Udom Emmanuel repositioned the club carting away the FA Cup. Akwa United made history by winning the maiden Aiteo Cup in 2017 is currently playing Continental football this year 2018 at the well maintained Godswill Akpabio international stadium. The yearly  Akwa Ibom Youths Sports  Festival where all primary and Secondary schools students participate is a window for talents to be discovered and nourished for exploits.

Eket Stadium is currently under construction in fulfillment of Governor Emmanuel's campaign pledge. The artificial Turf and all modern fittings needed to build the Eket Stadium and revamp the Uyo Township Stadium have been delivered and received by the State government. Governor Emmanuel has built a sports complex at West Itam Secondary school opposite the NNPC Mega station along Uyo Ikot Ekpene Road. 9 more to go. The female team of Akwa Ibom State, Ibom Angels made it to the FA Cup final and finished second, which is tremendous improvement on her past records.

Nothing is too small if we tell our friends that Akwa Ibom State can boast of one of the best road networks in the country. Governor Udom Emmaniel is currently undertaking the construction of over 50  roads in the Uyo metropolis and environs. Akpaube Close, Akpa Ube Lane off IBB Avenue, Ekperi Close by Akpaube, Idak Ukpa Street, off Aka Etinan Road, Afaha Atai village crescent road, in lbesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Vision close in Nsukara Offot, Udotong Ubo Lane, Akparen Street, Nung Atai Street leading to Christian Secondary Commercial School, Ibiono Lane, Unit D line in Ewet Housing Estate, Ediye Samuel Street, off Edet Akpan Avenue, 12.Akpan Ndem Street by Ewet Housing Estate, Unit G Line in Ewet Housing Estate, Eden Udo Close, roads around Atan Offot from Aka Etinan to the back of the State Secretariat and another spur to Goodluck Jonathan Boulevard, Ring roads 2 now wear a new look.

Information Drive was completed and commissioned, Cornelia Corneli College Uyo were constructed and commissioned, the Nsikak Eduok Avenue by Oron road, Edet Akpan Avenue intersection flooding has been conquered as Governor Udom Emmanuel completed an underground tunnel from Edet Akpan Avenue through Udo Udoma Avenue linking it to the Tropicana drainage, down into Obot idim Ibesikpo stream as the outfall. The construction of the 3.5km Ring Road 2 project is also ongoing extending from the dead end of Udo Udoma Avenue across Aka community through Afaha Offot to link up Abak Road. You all know that road and nothing is too small if we tell others about it.

Nothing is too small if can at least acknowledge the several road projects Governor Udom Emmanuel is constructing to open up the state. The 4.6km School of Arts and Science Road Nung Ukim Ikono has been completed with side drains and is ready for commissioning. The Gully Erosion that threatened to completely destroy the major access road linking Ikono and Ini has been arrested by the Udom Emmanuel administration. The 19.3km Anua Mbak Ishiet road in Uruan traversing 7 villages including, Anua, Ifa Ikot Okpon, Mbak, Ikot Otoinye, Ekim Enen, Adadia, and Ishiet is progressing and the 4.0km Mbiatok - Ekritam - Mbiaya Uruan road, criss crossing Ita Uruan, Ikpa and Mbiakong villages is steadily advancing.

The 8.5km Nduetong - Oku Ibiaku Uruan - Ekritam road with spur to Ini Uruan, that passes through the Uyo City Polytechnic to Planet FM 101. 1 premises is in the works, valuation of property that will be affected by the road is ongoing and sorting this out to enable compensation payment to owners will eventually get the project on course. Development is not a tea party. No Governor in the current class can stand shoulder-to - shoulder with Governor Udom Emmanuel for roads constructed amidst the terrible economic recession Nigeria is enmeshed in. Governor Emmanuel's administration is currently building five dualized roads to completely link up the entire State.

Nothing is too small if we tell the world that the dual carriage  20km Ekom Iman - Etinan road traversing Ikot Oku Ikono - Asuna, Ishiet Erong, Afaha Iman, Etinan Urban to the roundabout by Etinan Institute. Then the next stretch of 29.0km Etinan - Ndon Eyo road, also dualized, extending through Ekpene Ukpa, Efa, Mbioto, Ikot Oku Ekanem, Awa, Mkpok to Ndon Eyo. Let’s talk about the dualization of the 14.5km Uyo - Oron Road (Airport Road - Okopedi Oron - Oron Road by East West Road) cutting across Ekpene Ukim, Ikot Asua, Ikot Etieidung, Nung Atai Eta, and Okopedi Okobo in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas. There is also the 13.5km Okopedi Okobo - Oron Road proceeding from Nung Atai Eta, Itak, Uyatie, Edeghi Awa Ikpi, Otti Oro and Uya Oro villages in Okobo and Oron Local Government Areas.

Nothing is too small if we shun destructive party politics and acknowledge that the 23. 5km Eket-Etinan Road with three bridges is progressing and cuts across Etinan Urban, Afaha Nsit, Ndiya, Itreto, Okon Eket, to Eket Urban by Okpongkong Bridge. The 19.5km Eket ibeno road which opened up access from Marina Junction Eket to Edebok, Esit Urua, Mkpanak and Ukpenekang villages has been commissioned for use by Governor Udom Emmanuel

Nothing is too small for us to contribute to make our state, let’s speak glowingly of our education sector. Emmanuel has continued to give premium coverage for Education, even in the face of the harsh economy, facilitating the advent of three new Secondary Schools in the State. The Nigerian Navy Military School (NNMS), Ikot Ntuen, Oruk Anam Local Government Area is ready. There is the newly established Army Command Science Secondary School in Efa, Etinan Local Government Area, which was refurbished and equipped to replace the Salvation Army Secondary School and the Model Girls Secondary School, Ikot Ekang, Abak Local Government Area which Governor Emmanuel commissioned and which has since commenced operations.

Let’s tell the world that at the Obio Akpa campus of the Akwa Ibom State University, in Oruk Anam,  six major projects were commissioned by the governor like the Digital Language Library, a commercial farm palm oil mill, a commercial farm feeds mill, vegetable screen house, Ultra-Modern Mass Communication Studios and a magnificent Arts Theatre. The entire stretch of internal and access roads in the Obio Akpa campus are under construction complete with side drains. The College of Education, Afaha Nsit, Nsit Ibom Local Government is recording a massive face lift, as access and internal roads are in advanced stages of construction. Governor Emmanuel is committed to creating a conducive atmosphere for learning by boosting infrastructure in the tertiary institutions. The ultra-modern Administrative Block in Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden was commissioned by Governor Udom Emmanuel and the construction of internal and access Roads have commenced in the Permanent site of AKSU in Mkpat Enin.

Nothing is too small if we say that the University of Uyo just got her first Arts Gallery building courtesy of the first family to honour the memory of Late Prince Bernard Sampson Idiong and Professor Stella Idiong, parents of Her Excellency, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel. The Udom Emmanuel administration has sustained the free and compulsory education from Pre Primary to Senior Secondary 3, and undertakes payment of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, SSCE, fees and running into hundreds of millions for all indigent students.

We should tell the world that in pursuit of animal protein sufficiency Akwa Prime Hatchery with a capacity to deliver 540,000 day old chick per month was constructed and is still producing. Salaries of government workers are paid within a month and government is touching every sector in many remarkable ways.

The invitation to make Akwa Ibom great is a clarion call, everyone has a role. Nothing is indeed too small for us to contribute. We can keep our surroundings clean, avoid blocking water ways with refuse, pay our taxes and support government. There is nothing small in doing these. If we do not tell the world how awesome Akwa Ibom is, nobody will. When we build Akwa Ibom State, we do it for ourselves, our children, for Udom Emmanuel, our family and friends. Political parties may divide us and skew us to only see things in the negative. But we must be reminded that Government comes and goes. All we have left is Akwa Ibom State.

Buhari approves Kayode Fayemi’s leave

A leave application made by the minister of mines and steel development, Kayode Fayemi, has been approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Daily Independent reports that Fayemi's leave request was granted to enable him participate actively in the governorship election in Ekiti state scheduled to hold in July.

The special assistant to Fayemi on media, Yinka Oyebode on Sunday, April 22, said the minister's leave will commence on Monday, April 30.

Oyebode said the information became imperative in order to educate certain individuals calling for Fayemi’s disqualification over non-resignation from his present position as a minister before joining the Ekiti gubernatorial race.

He said: “They are ignorant of the workings of the party and the laws of the land. You can’t sit down in your house and determine who is going to be disqualified.

The party has a machinery to look at every case on its merit and that is why you have the screening committee. “There is due process in nomination and screening before you even get to the primary.

There is no law in the land that says that a serving minister should vacate his seat before the primary. What the law says is 30 days before the election.

As a matter of fact, the honourable minister has been granted leave. He applied for leave and it will commence upper Monday.

Hypertension or are you hypertensive?

If you have Hypertension, what I’m about to share with you in this post could prevent you from having a premature heart attack, save your eyesight, kidneys, legs, nerves and even save your life. Reports shows that 70% of people who have these problems have other problems, take your time to go through the information provided here. For more detailed information about proven solution to these problems.

High blood pressure (hypertension) is defined as high pressure (tension) in the arteries, which are the vessels that carry blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Complications of high blood pressure include heart disease, kidney (renal) disease, hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis or arteriosclerosis), eye damage, and stroke (brain damage).

What are the potential risks and complications of untreated high blood pressure?

Complications of hypertension are often referred to as end-organ damage because damage to the organs is the end result of chronic (long duration) high blood pressure. High blood pressure increases the risk of developing:

http://healthyinfo.com.ng/hbp.html

Heart Disease: Increased workload on the heart from pushing against the high blood pressure can cause enlargement of the heart muscle, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and cardiac arrhythmias.

Kidney Disease: High blood pressure damages the filtration system within the kidneys causing proteins to spill out into the urine. These proteins cause further damage to the kidneys and can lead to kidney failure.

Hardening of the Arteries (Atherosclerosis): Increased pressure through the arteries and arterioles causes damage to the inner walls of the blood vessels, resulting in hardened arteries.

Increased Risk of Aneurysms: Increased pressure can also cause stretching or dilation of the blood vessels, which can result in aneurysms.

Eye Damage: The sensitive tissues within the eyes are prone to damage from high blood pressure.

Stroke: Both the hardening of the arteries and the dilation of the blood vessels due to high blood pressure can lead to strokes.

For Grade Jailed

The celebrated sex-for-grade scandal that rocked Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, eight years ago, involving Engr. Peter Otubu, a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics of the institution and Miss Juliet Ivie Okosun has climaxed in the conviction of two siblings, Miss Judith Ivie Okosun and Juliet Obehi Okosun.

Chief Magistrate Martina Iluobe of Ekpoma Chief Magistrate Court, Esan West Local Government Area, last weekend sentenced the two former students who had since graduated from the institution to two years imprisonment, for unlawful detention and indecent assault of Dr. Otubu.

Delivering judgement in the case marked MEK/18C/2012, Iluobe recalled that Juliet Obehi Okosun (second accused person) had admitted in her evidence before the court that she had the key to the apartment where the first accused person, Judith Ivie Okosun, unlawfully assaulted Dr. Otubu.

The lecturer was held hostage and stripped Unclad at their one-room apartment in a private female hostel near the university on 17 July 2010.

The accused persons were also said to have made Dr. Otubu to issue a cheque in the sum of N100,000 in favour of Judith Ivie Okosun.

The court specifically established that in the recorded video clips which was also posted in the internet by one Oziengbe, now at large, the second accused person had told court that she was in possession of the key to the apartment where Engr. Otubu was held, making her liable for the unlawful detention of the lecturer.

Chief Magistrate Iluobe, however, discharged and acquitted the accused persons who were both undergraduate students at AAU at the time they were charged to court on counts 1, 5, and 6 which bothered on conspiracy and stealing and frivolous petition against Engr. Otubu, following the failure of the prosecution to prove these beyond reasonable doubt.

It also discharged and acquitted the 3rd to 7th accused persons, Esther Ogbeide (21), Samson Ogbeide (32), Igbudu Samuel (42), Ojeabulu Eghosa Clement (37) and Aruya Ohis Williams (24) for lack of substantial evidence against them.

According to the court, the failure of Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN), to provide calls log of conversations between the first Principal Witness (Engr. Iluobe) and some of the accused persons as required by the prosecution to prove his case was fatal to the prosecution.

Chief Magistrate Iluobe tongue-lashed Engr. Otubu, saying he “suffered for the sin of immorality to have gone to the room of her student which resulted in the show of shame, humiliation and torture which left his career in ruins.

“This court is of the view that there is a very strong conspiracy and set up against Engr. Peter Otubu, even though the defense Counsel had submitted before the court that suspicion does not amount to conspiracy.

”Throughout the length and breadth of the case, there is a thread which runs through criminal procedure of the case against the accused persons.

“Therefore, I hold that count 1 has not been proved as required by the law. For count 2, the the first and second accused persons had testified that the allegations were communicated to the school authorities about the show of shame.

“I believe them in this, because judging from the position of the the Principal Witness (PW1) and the first accused person, the whole truth was found and doctored. Such situation is highly embarrassing to him as a lecturer, his family and the university community.”

Responding to the judgment, counsel to the defendants, Mr. Olayowola Afolabi, agreed with the judgement on the sexual promiscuity of PW1, describing it as “a show of shame.”

But he pleaded with the court for clemency for the convicted persons on the ground that they were first offenders, stressing that the second convict is a nursing mother.

“The first accused person, my lord, is about to get married. I had to plead with the husband to allow her to come to court.

“My lord, the first and second accused persons were first offe

Nigeria army apprehend fake army officers

TROOPS OF 81 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY ARREST SOME IMPOSTORS OVER THE WEEKEND

In the continuation of the crack down on criminal elements, the troops of the 81 DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY arrested some imposters of the Nigerian army at the Lagos and Ogun part of the country.

The experience of the Division reveals that most of the people in military uniform that were arrested by the crack team of Operation CHECKMATE while extorting innocent citizens, interfering in land disputes, perpetrating one criminal act or the other actually turned out to be impostors who are unduly and deliberately tarnishing the good image of the Nigerian Army by committing such crimes while impersonating military personnel creating the false and unfortunate impression that such criminal acts were being perpetrated by soldiers.

The suspects are:

Mr. Olarewaju Yusuf of No. 5 Idowu close Ojo-Alaba Road was arrested on 11 April 2018 for impersonating as a soldier. He was in possession of an Army camouflage cap, claiming to be an Air Force personnel.

Mr. Ibrahim Isa aka “Malaika” was arrested on 15 April 2018. The suspect usually claims to be a soldier in order to commit criminal acts. Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, a dismissed soldier was arrested on 15 April 2018 for assault and impersonation.
Mr. Adetileyin Segun of block 2 flat 1 Camp 3 was arrested on 13 April 2018 for impersonating the soldier

Mr. Ale Victor Michael of No 3 Tony Marshall Street, Ajasakoma Ipaja. He was arrested along Iba Road on 14 April 2018, dressed on Military Camouflage T-Shirt and Desert boot impersonating as a soldier. Items found in his possession are; 1 Nigerian Army Badge, 2 Camouflage T-Shirts, 1 Daga knife, 1 Royal Ranger ID card, 1 Lieutenant Rank and 2 Nigerian Army Letters of Recommendation.

The General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigeria, Major General Enobong Okon Udoh wishes to use this opportunity to thank the general public and indeed the people of Lagos and Ogun states for their continued cooperation and urges them to always give timely information that will help the Division in its operational efforts on day to day basis. EBONY'S FATHER NEEDS HEALING NOT ATTENTION

I am not a fan of the late Ebony, neither am I a friend of her manager, Ricky Nana Agyeman popularly known as Bullet. I also don't have issues with her parents and that is what makes this article a neutral one as a position of a counselor. I will urge anyone reading this to get to the last word before passing any comment. Emotional discretion is advised.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TLB) says "No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus". As much as the demise of the young artiste is painful, what we owe God is thanksgiving and not these unnecessary punches, public sympathy, attention seeking.

Telling Bullet it was too early to introduce his new artist on stage during the VGMA is like someone telling you, it is too early to eat after the death of Ebony. Even in tears we try hard to eat, for it is our heart that is sad but our stomachs are not and need to be attended to.

Introducing this new artist does not mean he has replaced or was replacing Ebony. Bullet can never replace Ebony, she is a star, she is unique, and she shines even in darkness; even in her death.

These ladies are not stars yet and have not achieved what your daughter has. These ladies' achievement can add to Ruff Town Records label but can never erase or replace Ebony's achievement or legacy. It lives on even in death.

New songs from these new artists won't replace the lyrics of Ebony's song in the mind of the public. It won't prevent the public from playing or singing her songs.

Again, the relationship between Ebony and Bullet is not wife and husband but artist and her management. Our custom tradition sets out period to mourn ones spouse and are not allowed to get a new spouse within that period. This case is different from that so lets us not get it twisted.

Bullet is a business man. Before Ebony, he was into business and after Ebony, he will still be in business. It is our nature as man not to be idle. Even when you look at babies and they are growing up, they are always busy, the only time they get tired is when they are sleeping.

Man is to work, the only time we are tired is when we are resting. As much as he has mourned his beloved artiste, man must eat, man must rebuild. If there is anyone who has lost much, I believe he is the one. He might not have met the lady for long, but has invested so much into her. His time, passion, money, dreams, etc. The lady's death is one of his biggest loss and not his biggest gain.

Apart from God, who gave her as a gift to you as parents, the next big things that happened to Ebony when she was alive was her meeting with Bullet her manager. Bullet didn't just see a star in her but helped her to become a star. If we are talking about loss today, Mr. Nana Poku Kwarteng lost his beloved daughter, Bullet lost his biggest star or artist so far.

The introduction of a new artist shouldn't cause Mr. Kwarteng to feel bitter or bad. He should get over his loss or seek professional help. Conflict is part of every relationship, no matter how he loved and cared for his daughter, he had had issues with her on a couple of occasion, he has also hurt his daughter before.

If he is to count all the good and the bad he did to his daughter, I believe the good will out weight the bad, therefore he is a good father. In the same way Bullet might have offended her, conflict is part of relationships, so I believe Bullet and Ebony might offend each other on some occasions. If Bullet is to count the good and the bad, the good will out weight the bad, therefore bullet is a good man and a good manager.

As human as we are, no one can be good at all times, but we can always be good with time, because as we grow, we learn from our mistakes, that is how we become better.

Trying to look for the wrong that Bullet did your daughter or point out his mistakes or flaws by closing eyes to the good is to say, you want to paint him as a bad person, something we should not encourage.

Mr. Kwarteng's hurt or grief will not bring back his daughter. I will urge him to seek healing rather than inflicting pains and wounds on others because he is wounded or in pain. Playing the game of Perfect Dad does not make you real.

Let's all remember we are spirits in human flesh or form, mistakes are part of our story. We are not angels, one thing we can all do is learn from our mistakes and become better people.

I am not trying to be an insensitive person, I share your pain and grief, I know how it feels to lose a loved one, more especially I know the anger associated with losing a dear daughter for I have lost two.

It is a lie to believe men don't cry. Men are human beings; they can't be strong all the time. In times like this, it is okay to be alone and let out your tears, the pain, anger and bitterness. Forgive whoever you think has hurt you, by so doing you embrace the peace your heart needs.

Please share with your friends, someone out there needs this.

DATING A LIAR

A liar is a witty person, very creative with what they do; because for every single original lie they tell, they’ve got to tell twenty more to cover up. Liars are thieves, they are cheats, they are dishonest. Entrusting your life with them is like signing a ‘hurt warrant’.

They paint to you the kind of future which doesn't exist. They send you to a dreamland, where you live a life of fairytales. Because of their crafty nature, they are secretive, always hiding something, not straightforward, have excuses and never run out of stories. They are always busy working on the next version of lies until they catch fire. And that is the point when you get burnt with so much hurt that it leaves you with scars.

You are stuck in between "waiting for them to change" and "moving on". If you choose to stay, they mostly don't change, they just learn to get better at lying.

To you, love is total foolishness, because you are made to believe lies instead of truth. Love feels like pain, someone sends you up and leaves you to fall.

On the other hand, some people choose to leave and because of the scars from a previous relationship, they are careful and don't want to get burnt twice by the same flame; they date with fear and insecurities. They transfer to their next relationship, the waste from past relationships.

In this course of dating, not every package that is wrapped with a wrapper is a gift, some are bombs. You need to know the holder of this gift before you go ahead to accept them.

Not every "I love you" means love; not every "I will marry you" leads to marriage; not every good looking person is a good person. You need to know who they live their lives for and how they treat people around. Be a friend, get to know them, fall in love with their fruit and not their leaves.

Fall in love with their character and not appearance. Lies are always sweet, too good to be true are always fake. Ask questions instead of just telling them about yourself. You don't get to know people by what you tell them, but by what you ask them.

Before you accept anyone into your life, make sure they deserve such a position; make sure they merit it. Give them time to earn it. Your life is very important, your happiness means so much, don't gamble with that.

Never settle with a liar no matter how long you have been with them or known them. Even a liar hates to be lied to how much more you? Why will you be okay with things they wouldn't be okay with if it was done to them?

Liars are selfish; liars have no love, for love is selfless. A wonderful relationship is ahead, if you stick to a liar, you block your own blessings.

In conclusion "What matters most is loyalty. It’s better to be poor than to be a liar" - Proverbs 19:22 (CEV).
