This is the person that your partner is most likely to cheat on you with

cheat.jpg
A survey has concluded that people who cheat on their partners, often do so with someone they know.

5000 people took part in the research by Australian jewellery company Forktip and the results don't paint a pretty picture of happy relationships, especially for men.

Both genders asserted that they had never had an affair (69.1 percent for women and 59.6 per cent for men). But for those who had been unfaithful, it was men who 'played away' the most.

Of the men surveyed, 40.4 per cent confessed to cheating on their current partner, with only 30.9 per cent of women confessing to infidelity.

A more worrying statistic emerged after they were asked how many times they had cheated, with over half (52.4 per cent) saying "more than once".
Around a quarter confessed to cheating just the once, while 31.2 per cent confessed to be still cheating.
The participants of the survey also shared explanations for their cheating, with the top four reasons being:
  • Lack of enjoyment and fun
  • Not having enough sex
  • Partner cheated first
  • Partner not leaving you sexually satisfied
Perhaps the most shocking result of them all regarded who the cheaters cheated with.

The ambiguous "other" came out on top with 49.9 per cent. This probably means that it was someone that they didn't know.

Beyond that the next highest category was "with partner's friend" with 23.8 per cent, closely followed by an affair with a work colleague with 22.4 per cent.

In last place was "member of partner's family" with just 3.9 per cent.

These responses to women asking men out on dates will restore and ruin your faith in love

Asking out the person that you fancy can be one of the most stressful and anxiety inducing things anyone can through.

You can play out perfect scenarios out in your head over and over again, but nothing ever seems right.

The tried and tested way is just to pluck up the courage and ask them and hope for the best.
What's the worst that could happen? Embarrassment? Rejection? Humiliation? OK, we're probably making this sound worse than it is.

There is reason to be cheerful though, as proven in a recent Twitter thread created by sex and relationships blogger Oloni.

She asked women to message the men they fancied and ask them out on a date and then screenshot their replies back to her.

The majority of the responses will restore your faith in love and humanity.

Ladies ask that guy you fancy out on a date and tweet me a screen shot of his response.

These shocking photos will show you why recycling is so important

debris.jpg
Shocking photos of the Caribbean Sea littered with rubbish and debris have gone viral on social media.

The photos were taken off the coast of the island Roatan in Honduras, and show a landscape of floating trash where there should be blue seas.

Photographer Caroline Power, who was travelling with a diving team, captured the images -  the garbage reportedly stretches for five miles.

Pieces of plastic, bottles, takeaway containers, plastic cutlery, old footballs, toothbrushes, shoes and televisions were all spotted amongst the huge mass.

A lesbian teen hijacked a meme to make beautiful point about growing up

For those who're unfamiliar with the expression - glowing up or 'glo up' is when someone appears more attractive after they hit puberty. The oily face has cleared up, you've settled on a haircut that suits you, and you look and feel less gangly and awkward.

It's a great time, especially if you felt self conscious of your looks throughout school.

Caitlin Crowley recently shared her own #gloup moment to Twitter - but with her own take.

She shared a picture from few years ago, right before a freshman dance, with a boy called Dylan.

Her follow-up picture, taken more recently, features her girlfriend and best friend Kirrin Chew.

The pair met at a college prep programme and have been dating for around a year.

They've only been fully out of the closet "for the past six months," Caitlin explained to BuzzFeed, and in that time they've experienced an "outpour of love" from everyone.

The tweet, which has since gone viral, was intended as a bit of an in-joke between friends. She's still friends with Dylan and they both enjoyed seeing how much they'd changed.

What happed next though, was wonderful. Women and men from all over started sharing their own 'glo up' moments with Caitlin. There was an overwhelmingly common message: "Relatable".

Every story in the gargantuan thread showed the process of coming out, of self-identifying and, most importantly, it showed a lot of love.

Caitlyn might not have been prepared for the all of the LGBTQI happiness that immediately poured into her time line - but it was certainly enjoyable to watch.

Science says you should be having this much sex

Research has found that the average American is now having less sex than they were a decade ago.

The study published in Archives of Sexual Behaviour shows that between 2010 and 2014 Americans had sex nine fewer times than they did between 2000 and 2004.

That's nine time less for the average person and 16 times less for married couples. These results were consistent across age groups, race, location, occupation and whether they were parents or not.
Surprisingly, those having the most sex were people born during the 1930s, who were probably reaching their sexual peak around the "swinging 60s."
The author of the study Jean M Twenge writes.
With age and time period controlled, those born in the 1930s had sex the most often, whereas those born in the 1990s had sex the least often.
The decline was not linked to longer working hours or increase pornography use.
What is the reason for this dramatic decline then?
You might point towards things like social media, Netflix or video games as distractions that can infiltrate our lives 24/7, but Twenge doesn't believe that is the case.
She writes:
The results suggest that Americans are having sex less frequently due to two primary factors:
An increasing number of individuals without a steady or marital partner and a decline in sexual frequency among those with partners.
This doesn't sound particularly encouraging but is it actually bad news? The answer is no.
Despite these numbers average American adults are still having sex at least 54 times, or just more than once a week.
Even married couples are still managing to find time for each other in the bedroom about 51 times a year.
This is good for maintaining happiness, at least according to research conducted by Amy Muise which found that once a week was sufficient for maintaining one's wellbeing.
Leading a happy lifestyle where sex is a frequent activity can only lead to more health benefits, which is great news, should you be so lucky.
Of course this is only an optimal, but Muise's research doesn't show that having sex more than once a week returns any more emotional benefits.
Time quote her as saying:
Sex is associated with feeling more satisfied in a relationship. But beyond once a week, the wellbeing benefits of sex seem to level off.
That’s not to say that having sex a few times a week (or more) is a bad thing. It just doesn’t seem to make couples any happier.

Conspiracy theorists think a planet is going to kill us all - again

planetx.jpg
As The Smiths once said "Stop me if you think you've heard this one before."

Conspiracy theorists are once again convinced that the world is going to end in the next few weeks.
It was supposed to happen in September, and then again at the start of October.

Obviously we are all still here - so those predictions clearly didn't come to fruition.

However, theorists are now doubling down on their belief that the fabled Planet X, or Nibiru, will collide with Earth on 19 November.

Over on Planet X News writers point towards seismic activity during the month of November and that a major earthquake that is due to take place.
Terral Croft writes:
Global seismic activity will be in up-down bounce mode for the coming few weeks with larger-magnitude earthquake events expected for November.
The forecast is to see fluctuating up-down weekly seismic-event values, until global seismic activity reaches a peak in the second two weeks of November moving into December 2017.
The predicted backside-alignment quake event is scheduled for November 19, 2017, when Earth passes behind the Sun relative to the Black Star in the Libra Constellation.
David Meade, who has been the most vocal proponent of this apocalypse has consistently referred to Bible verses to back up his beliefs.
One of his more eyebrow raising pieces of 'evidence' came from the Book of Isaiah, 13:9 to 10:
See, the Day of the Lord is coming - a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger - to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.
The Stars of Heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising Sun will be darkened and the Moon will not give its light.
If you are particularly pessimistic you might want to believe this but we're going to refer to the experts this time, namely Nasa, who cannot emphasise enough that Nibiru is piece of fiction.
In a statement put out in September, and reported by the Telegraphthe space agency state:
The planet in question, Nibiru, doesn't exist, so there will be no collision.
The story of Nibiru has been around for years (as has the 'days of darkness' tale) and is periodically recycled into new apocalyptic fables.
Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims.
If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth … astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye.
Obviously, it does not exist.
Instead, let's focus on more plausible world-ending possibilities. Has anyone heard from Donald Trump recently?

Yet he is arguably best known for his truly creative Halloween outfits.

Every year Josh goes above and beyond with his costumes, which fully emphasise the fact that he is missing a limb but does so in the best possible way.

This is what Josh looks like on a normal day.

Surrogate mother gives birth to own biological son in rare medical incident

A woman who gave birth to her own child at the same time as she delivered a surrogate baby has been reunited with her son after a long legal battle.

"I was heartbroken knowing I carried a baby I didn't know was mine and that he was taken from me without my knowledge and was in the arms of other people where he did not belong," Jessica Allen told The Independent.

The 31-year-old had decided to undergo a commercial surrogacy so that she could put the money towards a deposit on a home with her partner Wardell Jasper, 34.

The practice is legal in California where they live and Ms Allen, who already had two children of her own, agreed a fee of $35,000 (£26,600) to give birth to another woman's child.

But after undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF), doctors told Ms Allen she was carrying two baby boys.

But after giving birth, she said in a separate interview with The New York Post that she was not able to see them.

About a month later, she received a picture from the babies from the mother, asking why the newborns looked different.

A DNA subsequently revealed that one of the boys was her biological match, while the other matched with a surrogate - an extremely rare medical incident called superfetation.

The difference between Trump and Obama in 60 seconds

gettyimages-495004268.jpggettyimages-619586122.jpg

The differences between Donald Trump and Barack Obama are well documented.

Whether they are meeting and supporting the victims of disasters, interacting with world leaders, or simply addressing a crowd - these two Presidents are polar opposites of one another.

They even have differing take on Halloween, which should really be a holiday that everyone can enjoy, right?

The annual White House Halloween Party invites a group of costumed children to the prestigious building where they receive candy and get to meet the President.

Just take a look at how Obama used to greet the kids and generally spread fun and cheer.

Album of the week: Nick Lowe, 'Quality Street' (Proper)

nick-lowe.jpg
With Quality Street, Nick Lowe manages the virtually impossible, delivering a Christmas album that’s both inventive and irony-free, and seasonally warm without pushing any of the usual commercial buttons.

It’s a simple matter of imagination, whether it’s re-tooling old standards in unusual ways – like his Tex-Mex/New Orleans take on “Silent Night”, with a dipping, rolling groove studded with staccato organ and horns – or finding new material with a minimal cheese factor, such as Ron Sexsmith’s fingersnap-cool “Hooves on the Roof”, which captures the gentle, spooky magic of glimpsing Santa on his annual round. Or failing all else, writing new festive classics like “I Was Born in Bethlehem”, in which Jesus relates his own story in the conversational, strolling style of Johnny Cash.

“Children Go Where I Send Thee” kicks off the album with an infectious momentum, the traditional gospel number done rockabilly/skiffle style, with Geraint Watkins’ reedy Farfisa organ pepping up the rolling guitar riff. When Lowe’s band hits its groove, as here and on “Rise Up Shepherd” and “The North Pole Express”, there’s a swagger to their stride that’s utterly engaging, casually propulsive in a genial manner that entirely befits the seasonal demands.

The uptempo cuts are balanced by gentler songs with a suburban-cabaret feel, such as Boudleaux Bryant’s “Christmas Can’t Be Far Away”, crooned in Lowe’s cosy baritone, or “A Dollar Short of Happy”, the resigned ode to hard-times holidays co-written with Ry Cooder: “No more private schools, no exercise machines, no crazy nannies getting high in the SUV”. Best of all is the jaunty “Christmas at the Airport”, in which the prospect of being stranded by snow miles from home – “Don’t save me any turkey, I found a burger in a bin” – confirms Lowe’s knack for finding a new wrinkle on an old tradition.
