US steel and aluminium imports face big tariffs, Trump says

President Donald Trump has said he will sign off on steep tariffs on steel and aluminium imports next week, hitting producers like Canada and China.
Flanked by US metals executives at the White House, he said a 25% tariff would be placed on steel products, and a 10% tariff would be imposed on aluminium.
Mr Trump tweeted that the US was suffering from "unfair trade".
The US imports four times more steel than it exports, and is reliant on steel from more than 100 nations.
In Thursday's announcement, Mr Trump promised to rebuild the American steel and aluminium industries, which he said had suffered "disgraceful" treatment from other countries for decades.
"And when it comes to a time when our country can't make aluminium and steel - and somebody said it before and I will tell you - you almost don't have much of a country, because without steel and aluminium your country is not the same.
"We need great steel makers, great aluminium makers for defence."
Citing China, Mr Trump said "we haven't been treated fairly by other countries".
He spoke as Chinese economic adviser Liu He, a friend of Chinese President Xi Jinping, visited the White House.
Mr Liu was due to meet separately with one of the US president's top economic advisers, Gary Cohn.

Mercedes driver finishes fastest on final day of the first test - Lewis Hamilton

World champion Lewis Hamilton signed off the first week of pre-season testing with an imposing fastest time.
The Mercedes driver was 0.5 seconds clear of the rest and 0.9s quicker than 2017 title rival, Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, despite using a harder tyre.
Pre-season times are notoriously unreliable indicators of form because car specifications are not revealed and many factors can affect performance.
But Hamilton's pace underlines Mercedes' pre-season favourites status.
After three days of unusually cold weather, the teams finally managed some effective running in warmer conditions on Thursday.
McLaren took advantage of the opportunity to finally manage a serious amount of laps after reliability problems affected them on the first two days.
McLaren driver Stoffel Vandoorne, who did more than 100 laps before handing over to team-mate Fernando Alonso early in the afternoon, was second fastest, 0.521secs off Hamilton.
But the Belgian was the only driver to use the fastest hyper-soft tyre, which is four grades softer - and in the region of at least two seconds faster - than the medium the Briton used to set his time.
Alonso was fifth fastest, 1.6secs slower than Hamilton, using the super-soft tyre.

Bill Gates says crypto-currencies cause deaths

Crypto-currencies are killing people in a "fairly direct way", Microsoft founder Bill Gates has said.
He was referring to the way digital currencies like Bitcoin are used to buy drugs like synthetic opioid fentanyl.
In an "ask me anything" session on news website Reddit, he said that the anonymity of digital currencies meant they were linked to terrorist funding and money laundering.
Some criticised him, saying he was ill-informed about the technology.
Asked by one user for his opinion on the technology, Mr Gates replied: "The main feature of crypto-currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The government's ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing.
"Right now, crypto-currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs [initial coin offerings] and crypto-currencies is super risky for those who go long."
Veteran investor Warren Buffet has previously said that the speculative crypto-currency craze "will come to a bad end".
Mr Gates has not always been so cynical about Bitcoin. In 2014, in an interview on Bloomberg TV, he said that Bitcoin "was better than currency".
His less than enthusiastic response on Reddit did not go down well with all those participating in the debate, with some reproaching him for what they felt was an attempt to influence the market. Others suggested that he needed to look again at the Bitcoin white paper.

Putin reveals Russia's 'invincible missile' in pre-poll speech

Russia has developed a new cruise missile that is invincible, according to President Vladimir Putin.
Mr Putin made the revelation as he laid out his key policies for a fourth presidential term, ahead of an election he is expected to win in 17 days' time.
He showcased a range of new weapons, including the cruise missile that could "reach anywhere in the world".
Using video presentations, he said the missile could not be stopped by the US shield in Europe and Asia.
It was "a low-flying, difficult-to-spot cruise missile with a nuclear payload with a practically unlimited range and an unpredictable flight path, which can bypass lines of interception and is invincible in the face of all existing and future systems of both missile defence and air defence".
Another weapon he discussed was a submarine launched, long-range missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead.

HOW TO BUILD INTIMACY IN RELATIONSHIPS

How close are you to your partner, how well do you know your spouse, do you have a best friend outside your marriage?

One of the problems couples are faced with in their relationship is lack of intimacy. To some spouses, as far as they can go through their partner’s phone, Facebook account, wallet or hand bag they are close.

To others intimacy is being able to touch their partner’s body and explore it. To some intimacy is sex so the only time they feel close is when they are in the bedroom.

What really makes one beautiful is not their body but rather their heart and their soul. To get to know the true beauty of someone, means you getting to know their heart and getting into their soul; this is what keeps relationships and that is the true form of intimacy.

You are intimate with your partner when you learn to give them your attention, when you talk to them about anything without being judged, rejected or ignored; being able to share every little detail of your day with them without them getting bored or making you feel like a talkative; being able to share your fears, dreams, goals, etc. without feeling uncomfortable.

Being intimate with your partner means giving them your time, even when many people are demanding it. It is making time out of your busy schedule to be with your loved one, not worried about anything and all that matters is the time you enjoyed together.

You are truly intimate with your partner when you have him or her at the back of your mind and in your thoughts no matter how distracted you are.

It is when you are distant in location or geographically yet close at heart; it is when each time you miss them, you can go back to old messages, re-read them and smile like an idiot.

It is good to take care of your partner and spend on them, but that is not enough and that is not what keeps the relationship. Giving them your time does, for that it is one thing which cannot be bought.

When you learn how to spend time with your partner, you won't worry about anyone taking them away from you, because you have their attention and heart. They carry you with them wherever they go. You are in their thoughts. They play back memories they have with you when you are away.

Relationship becomes beautiful when partners can talk like best friends, play like children, protect each other like siblings and love each other like husband and wife.

Men, keep this in mind, it’s not love if all she wants is your money and not your time.
Ladies, it’s not love if he can't give you his time and attention but all he showers on you is gifts and money.

In conclusion "Love does not do the wrong thing. Love never thinks of itself. Love does not get angry. Love does not remember the suffering that comes from being hurt by someone" - 1 Corinthians 13:5 (NLV).

Please share with your friends, someone out there needs this.

Eddie Jones: I was 'physically and verbally abused' after Calcutta Cup defeat

England head coach Eddie Jones says he was physically and verbally abused on his way back from Scotland and will no longer travel by public transport.
The Australian travelled alone in standard class on the 09:15 GMT from Edinburgh to Manchester Oxford Road on Sunday afterEngland's 25-13 defeat.
Jones was verbally abused outside the station after posing for a picture.
A man then opened the door of Jones' car to direct further abuse before the driver and another man intervened.
British Transport Police (BTP) told BBC Sport it received a report of a further incident as Jones travelled on the train from Manchester to London later that day.
Officers met the train at Euston, after a report of verbal abuse towards a man on board. No arrests were made but enquiries continue.
Virgin Trains said it would "cooperate fully" with the BTP in any investigation.
Speaking on Wednesday, about using public transport, Jones said: "I'll make sure I won't in future. It's as simple as that."
It is not clear whether the men who confronted Jones outside Oxford Road station - shown in a video obtained by BBC sports editor Dan Roan - were rugby supporters.
Scottish Rugby said on Thursday it was "appalled" by the verbal abuse suffered by the England head coach.
"The disgusting behaviour of those involved does not represent the values of our sport or its fans," it said in a statement. "The dignity Eddie and the England team showed on Saturday is in stark contrast to this ugly incident."
Jones claims comments made by Scotland great Gavin Hastings did not help.
Former Scotland and Lions captain Hastings, who won 67 international caps, said opposing supporters of Jones' team wanted to "rub his face in the dirt".
"I'm a human being. I don't consider myself any different from anyone else, so for me to travel on public transport I thought was OK," added Jones.

‘The fear of NBC’ – Fans Criticize Olamide’s “Science Student” Video

Yesterday, the much anticipated visual to Olamide’s controversial yet popular song ‘Science Student’ was released on youtube and somehow, fans who watched the video noticed a much different and very restricted Olamide.

The very colourful and interesting video was opened with a mini-drama by Olamide and his theme before a transitioning into the real deal.
With the latest Shakushaku dance which became viral after the Science Student song, we also expected different versions of the dance on the video, well, we did have a dance but more of the Walking Dead kind of dance with a sprinkle of Shakushaku here and there.
Noticeable was also Olamide’s refusal to smoke or drink in the video… He was indeed preaching against drug abuse!
Recall that their song had been followed and trailed by controversy since its release, so much that there had been a call for its ban. The video will most likely change the perception towards the song.

Folorunso Alakija: I became a billionaire even without a university degree

One of the richest women in Africa, Folorunso Alakija, has made a revelation about her life that not so many people know of. According to the billionaire, she was able to achieve greatness in life even without a University degree.

Alakija took to Instagram to share this piece and she also opened up that she is the 8th child in her family of about 52 children. She wrote: “I would like to encourage you on my encounter with the glory of God.

It happened almost 27 years ago when I gave my life to Christ at the age of 40 and my life has not been the same ever since, I pray your life too, will experience a total turn around. I was born almost 67 years ago, into a large and illustrious polygamous Muslim family as number 8 out of 52 children through a father who had 8 wives.

Back then, large families were common, but what was unusual was that I was one of the very first few Nigerian children who left its shores to go and study abroad at such a tender age of 7.

Even at that age, I knew I could not afford to let my family down cause I was seen as an ambassador. My desire was to study law but my daddy did not believe in investing in girls at that time.

Today, I have no university degree, but God’s glory lifted me up and I have received numerous Honorary doctorate degrees at home and abroad.

All of what you now see today has taken almost two and a half decades, so I am not an overnight success. On the contrary. Through God’s grace, I am a blood bought totally forgiven, absolutely redeemed, heaven bound child of God.

David de Gea has kept 19 clean sheets so far this season

David de Gea's stunning first-half save helped Manchester United claim a creditable draw at Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
The Spain keeper had kept out efforts from Joaquin Correa and Steven N'Zonzi before showing quick reflexes to produce a one-handed save on the stroke of half-time and deny Luis Muriel's header.
United, who were playing their first Champions League knockout game in four years, offered little offensively, with Romelu Lukaku spurning their best chance when he volleyed well over early on before substitute Marcus Rashford dragged a shot wide in the closing stages.
Paul Pogba started on the bench for the visitors, but came on after just 17 minutes following an injury to Ander Herrera.
Sevilla finished the game with 25 attempts on goal but a mixture of De Gea's saves and poor finishing from the hosts left them frustrated at the final whistle.
Manchester United will be the happier of the two teams heading into the return leg at Old Trafford on Tuesday, 13 March with Jose Mourinho's side winning 15 of their 18 games on home soil this season.

Barcelona paid Chelsea the ultimate respect

It has been a fascinating watch. Chelsea got the lead through Willian, but then carelessly, needlessly, sloppily handed Barcelona an equaliser to Lionel Messi.

Barcelona paid Chelsea the ultimate respect. It will be a different Barcelona in the Nou Camp in a couple of weeks.
