32-year-old New Jersey victim was a "good man with a soft touch and huge heart"

Darren Drake, one of the eight people killed in the New York terror attack, was a former member of the New Milford Board of Education and worked at Moody Analytics.

Drake served on the board for four years, just six years after graduating from New Milford High School in 2003.

Michael Polizzi, superintendent of schools for New Milford Public School District, described Drake in statement:

A board member in high esteem, Darren was a good man with a soft touch and huge heart. He is respected for his unwavering commitment to the children of New Milford and their education. His decisions were always predicated on what he believed was in the best interest of students, their growth and well-being, their intellectual development as well as their social and emotional welfare. In addition to his insights into the needs of students, he brought to the board significant business acumen, intelligence and humor. He was friendly, fully engaged and forward-thinking.

Trump supports, not advocates, sending NY terror suspect to Gitmo: White House

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders that President Trump’s comments about sending the New York terror suspect to the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba signaled his support, not that he was advocating for doing that.

“The point he was making is that he supports, or would support that, but he wasn’t necessarily advocating for that. But he certainly would support it,” she said.

Sanders added, though, that the Trump administration does consider the suspect “an enemy combatant."

Five children were killed Tuesday night and two others wounded by a suicide bomber described as a “young girl” in a northern region of Cameroon plagued by Boko Haram attacks, sources said Wednesday.

“A suicide bomber blew herself up (on Tuesday) at around 7.45 pm (1845 GMT)” in the village of Zamga, two kilometres (1.2 miles) from the Nigerian border, said a security officer responsible for the zone, reached from the capital Yaounde.

A group of children was playing when “a young girl slipped in” among them, triggering her explosive charge, the safety officer explained.

Suspect should be considered "an enemy combatant": White House

 

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders says the suspect in the New York terror attack, should be considered "an enemy combatant."

"We would consider him to be an enemy combatant, yes," she said.

Asked if he should be tried within the Justice system or be treated as an enemy combatant and possibly transferred to military custody, Sanders said, "I don't believe that determination has been made."

She added that his actions, "would certainly justify that."

Earlier today, we published a post about media personality, Latasha Ngwube, who said she can’t invite Nigerian male barbie, Bobrisky to her show because of his bad grammer.
