A reminder to your 2015 promise, Mr. President: A memo on preventing a new Boko Haram from forming

Your speech sir, on May 29th 2015, promised to quash the murderous and wicked terrorists off Boko Haram Insurgency.

You then signaled that your administration would, after the war, look into the root causes and genesis of the insurgency and bring a lasting solution to it.

It is my hope, now that the combat is (almost) over, to remind you on the need for the lasting peace the country trusted you would bring, before your tenure runs out, before the elections, whether you choose to run or not, whether you win at the polls or not.

It is a known fact sir, that none of the Muslim nations of the world today, practice the age-old Amajiri system, rampant in northern Nigeria. A system that allows parents just callously discard their children to fend for themselves, food and shelter, right from the age of six or seven.

Mr. President, it is also a fact, that the average northerner today, trusts no leader as much as they trust you. They trust your integrity, goodwill, word and will-power.

The people equate you to the statesmen and founding fathers of Nigeria.

This means you could leave a legacy and set straight, the wrongs in the region in this day and age, wrongs which if tried by others, may bring a backlash and resistance.

Taraba youths rally support for Buhari’s re-election in 2019

The Amalgamated Youths Forum in Taraba state on Saturday, February 17 urged President Muhammadu Buhari to re-contest in 2019 so as to enable him to consolidate on the good work he started in 2015.

The chairman of the forum, Alhaji Murtala Maihula, who made the call in Jalingo at rally organised by the youths from the 16 local government areas of the state, said that the country was better off under the leadership of President Buhari.

He added that many programmes and projects had been initiated to improve the fortunes of the ordinary Nigerians.

According to him, the present administration was fighting corruption vigorously to save the country from collapse and for which, he said, it deserved a second term to consolidate these laudable achievements.

The chairman maintained that despite his health challenges, President Buhari has been able to bring development into sectors such as railway transportation, power, agriculture and also provided employment opportunities to millions of Nigerian youths.

Maihula explained that the Mambilla Hydro-Power Plant was being executed in Taraba state by the Buhari administration.

He added that the people of the state and youths in particular have no option than to encourage Buhari to contest again in 2019.

Though the Portuguese gaffer however admitted that his £89m midfielder’s form has dipped. Russia-Trump inquiry: Russians charged over US 2016 election tampering

Thirteen Russians have been charged with interfering in the US 2016 election, in a major development in the FBI investigation.
Three of those named have also been accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and five have been accused of aggravated identity theft.
The charges were made by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating alleged Russian meddling.
Three Russian companies are also named in the indictment.
One of them is the Internet Research Agency, based in St Petersburg, which the 37-page indictment said "had a strategic goal to sow discord in the US political system, including the 2016 US presidential election".

Mr Trump was briefed on the indictment earlier on Friday, the White House said.
The president later tweeted that his campaign had done "nothing wrong" and again denied colluding with Russia.
He also appeared to acknowledge Russian election meddling - something which he has in the past cast doubt on despite US intelligence agency assessments.

APC HONOURS GOVERNOR UDOM EMMANUEL

When I tell you how Gov Udom has transformed the health sector,  you call me all sorts of degrading names.

What have you said to the APC-led Federal Government that  honoured him (Gov.  UDOM EMMANUEL) with An Integrity and National Service Award on Quality Healthcare Delivery and Gender Empowerment?

Truly,  a gold fish can't hide.

Before you insinuate that awards can be bought, let me quickly ask?

Is APC- led Federal Government that hungry and cheap, to sell "AN INTERGRITY AWARD to Gov Udom Emmanuel, a PDP GOVERNOR, who is constantly accused by APC supporters  for diverting public funds?

GOOD SEX AND LIES KEEP WOMEN IN BAD RELATIONSHIPS

Truth be told, good sex and lies is what it takes to waste ten years of a lady's life. When the sex is good, she accidentally yells "I love you" out of ecstasy, but the truth is, she doesn't love him. To add insult to injuries, is when the guy replies "I love you too" and it feels like they are so much in love and will be together for life.

It is heart breaking to hear a lady say she has been dating a man for ten years or more and is still chasing him for marriage. The question that comes to mind is, "what is really wrong with her?" It is even sadder to hear they have kids but the man is not thinking of getting married to her. The famous statement that follows is "but I love him".

At one moment she feels so good; in another she comes to her senses and feels used. This makes her so confused and attached. She has never met anyone who makes her feel this way, a feeling so unique, sweet and good. She then concludes "I am madly in love with him".

You are not married to him and that makes having sex with him a mistake but you called such as love. The next time you see him with another lady, you feel a sharp pain within your heart. You asked yourself "How can the one who gave me so much pleasure also cause me so much pain?

He promised to marry you in future, and you felt secured having sex with him, but as the years pass by, the marriage never comes. At one point he says "I am out of love, give me some space". A space he uses to explore elsewhere. He comes back and it feels as if you are getting married the next year.

Before you know it, you are five years and counting. In case you don't know, Marriage is not lip service. You cannot keep sleeping with lies and wonder why you wake up each day with disappointment. Do you think giving sex is what it takes to get a marriage?

Getting sex is so easy and cheap. You can give a man sex 24/7 yet failed to earn his heart or get his commitment or connect with his soul or build a future with him.

I feel sad to say this but the truth is, when you take sex from many relationships, you will discover there is nothing remaining. And once the lady says no to sex, such a relationship comes to an end. The question, if a man is with you just because of sex, then who or what are you?

Having sex with someone you are not married to is a mistake, and such mistakes define your future if you term it as love. Life is all about making adjustments. If you don't correct your mistakes today, you live to regret.

When you subtract the number of years you are in your current relationship from your age, ask yourself this, was I ready for marriage when I started dating? What you thought was love when you started the relationship and what you think is love now, are they the same?

It will be obvious that what you called love was a mistake. "When we were children, we thought and reasoned as children do. But when we grew up, we quit our childish ways" - 1 Corinthians 13:11 (CEV). Marriage is not by mistake, it is intentional. No wise person holds onto their mistakes, they rather use them as stepping stones to rise.

In conclusion "An inheritance obtained too early in life is not a blessing in the end" - Proverbs 20:21 (NLT).

Tony Nwulu: Do not vote for politicians against 'too young to run’ bill

Tony Nwulu (PDP-Oshodi/Isolo Lagos) on Friday urged youths to vote out politicians that were not in support of the bill come 2019.

Nwulu made the call while addressing newsmen on the level of passage of the bills by states organised by the Not -Too -Young -To -Run movement in Abuja.

He said that politicians had always used the youths to win elections, adding that now that they are supposed to pay the youths back by passing the bill the politicians were not doing so.

“It baffles me that a state assembly, which is Taraba, could vote against such a bill. “The truth is that the bill is not about a party neither is it about an individual politician. “It is about our nation building, it is about giving the young people the voice that they have not heard in our politics, it is also about mainstreaming the youths in today’s politics. “What grieves me is the fact that every other older politician out there goes out to lobby and ask for the support of young Nigerians during elections. “So if they are good enough to vote for you, why won’t they be good enough to be given an opportunity to also be voted for?,” said the lawmaker.

Nwulu, who initiated the Not-Too-Young to Run Bill, said that looking forward to 2019, whichever party or candidate that did not support youths should not be voted into office.
