Bachelor in Paradise's Carly Waddell and Evan Bass Sound Off on That Finale and What's Next

Carly Waddell said yes to Evan Bass during tonight's Bachelor in Paradise finale, and while it was cute as could be, it's really just the beginning for this couple.

The two self-identifying weirdos sat down with E! News' Carissa Culiner to talk all about their brand new engagement and what's next for them, now that the world has seen the end of their time in Paradise. To be honest, we kind of think this couple's going to make it.

"You would think that I would go out there knowing, but it shocked me, honestly," Carly tells us of the proposal, during which Evan asked "Will you freakin' marry me?"

Even though it's been a few months since the finale was actually filmed, Carly and Evan still haven't started wedding planning.

"We haven't set a date," Evan explains. "We're going to live some real life and see how it goes. We're sort of anti-pressure, really. We're just not going to put a lot of pressure on our relationship.
We're just going to move forward and have fun, and when the time is right to get married, we'll do it."

Carly reveals that Jade Roper and Juelia Kinney would definitely be in attendance, along with a surprise officiant.

"In Paradise, I told Nick that he could officiate the wedding," Evan reveals.
"The other day, on Facetime, he was like, by the way I'm still officiating," Carly adds. "I was like, all right Nick. That's on you, buddy."
As for whether the wedding would be televised, that remains to be seen.
"We're looking forward to not being on TV for a while," Evan says.
"We'll think about that when we think about that," Carly agrees.

Rob Kardashian Explains Why He's ''Hoping'' for a Baby Boy With Blac Chyna in Rob & Chyna Sneak Peek

Rob Kardashian

That's the question on Scott Disick's mind while the longtime friends spend quality time at the barber shop in this exclusive sneak peek from Sunday's anticipated Rob & Chyna series premiere.

"I don't know yet," Rob tells him, before admitting that he would like his first child with Blac Chyna to be a boy to "carry on" the family name.

"You want a boy to carry on the name?" Scott responds sarcastically. "Cause the whole name's going to die down anytime soon! You better get a boy. God forbid no one's going to remember who Kim Kardashian was!"

Zendaya Says She Was Refused Service Because of Her "Skin Tone"

Zendaya, Snapchat
After grocery shopping with a friend Tuesday afternoon, the 20-year-old K.C. Undercover star shared a Snapchat story in which she detailed their disappointing encounter with a sales clerk.

"So we just got out of this Vons. Now, I am trying to buy a lot of gift cards. Now, there's some certain, specific things you have to do when it comes to buying gift cards," Zendaya said. "There are certain limits and some things, which is understandable. OK, cool.

So I'll take a less amount, whatever. But the lady that was helping us—I don't think she was a fan of our skin tone."

"Not at all," Zendaya's friend chimed in. "She was rude."
"Extremely," the actress said in agreement.

"In fact, I recall her not trying to help us at all, saying that we couldn't buy the gift cards, and then throwing my wallet. You can't make this s--t up.

I just can't make this s--t up! You know? This is what we deal with!" Zendaya said, adding that the sales clerk gave her a nasty look as if to convey the message, "You can't afford this." But, according to the Disney star, "It was $400!"

Re-Examining the Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston Conspiracy Theories in Light of the Big Breakup

Taylor Swift  and  Tom Hiddleston

It was the coupling heard 'round the world, and now it's the breakup heard 'round the world.
When Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston got together at the beginning of the #SummerofHiddleswift, it was near impossible not to leer.

Just look at these two—they were tailor-made (or should we say Taylor-made) for celebrity exhibitionist wonder. They're beautiful!

They fell in love at the Met Ball (maybe)! They frolic on rocky beaches! Everyone everywhere instantly became enamored with the idea of their love.

Except for those who didn't...because those who didn't were too busy being paranoid. And that's how we came to know the Hiddleswift Conspiracy Theories.

These ran rampant in the weeks after the couple's debut and subsequent world tour; Hiddleswift truthers would stop at nothing to convince the rest of society that the relationship was all part of some grand design that we were all too naive to notice.

And now that word is out about Taylor and Tom's breakup, it's time to take another look at these theories to see if, given this new information, they hold any more water.
Are they totally ridiculous? Sure. Is it way too much fun to entertain the idea? Of course.

Why I Called Off My Divorce to Jillian Dempsey says Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey, Jillian DempseySo, when his wife Jillian Dempsey filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage in January 2015, his world turned upside down. So, he left ABC's Grey's Anatomy in April to focus on his film career—and, more importantly, keeping his family together.

As he filmed Bridget Jones's Baby with Colin Firth and Renée Zellweger in London (in theaters Sept. 16), the actor admits he never gave up hope that he and Jillian would reconnect. "Our marriage was not something I was prepared to let go of," he says People's Sept 19 issue, on newsstands Friday.

"I didn't feel like we had done all the work. And we both wanted to do that work. That's where it started."

Knowing his marriage could end was a "scary" feeling, he admits. "It's always destabilizing when you're potentially breaking up a family or you have a big section of your life that's ending."

Patrick and Jillian, both 50, are parents to daughter Tallula Dempsey, 14, and twin sons Darby Dempsey, 9, and Sullivan Dempsey, 9.

They began couples counseling after the divorce filing, which Patrick says was "very important" to giving them a "new beginning."

"We decided it was time to get in there and work on our individual issues and our issues as a couple," he says. "I wasn't prepared to give up on her and she wasn't either. We were both committed. We both wanted to fight."

Court artist Julia Quenzler sketches Helen's trial

BBC Radio 4 has enlisted one of the UK's leading court artists to sketch the fictional trial in The Archers. The Archers trial

Julia Quenzler has provided media outlets with drawings from cases involving Harold Shipman, General Pinochet and Rolf Harris.

She will now depict the trial of Helen Titchener, which begins on air later.

In the week-long trial, Helen will face charges of attempted murder and wounding with intent after stabbing her husband Rob.

It has spawned the social media hashtag #freehelen.
The stabbing in April was the culmination of a long-running domestic abuse storyline that gripped listeners.

The first mock court sketch to be released shows Rob (played by Timothy Watson) giving evidence, with Helen (Louiza Patikas) in the dock.

More of Quenzler's drawings will be released during the week on The Archers website and social media accounts.

Quenzler, who has been a court artist for 30 years said, the process had been "fascinating".
On Rob's abusive behaviour, she said: "I can't let that influence me at all. I was basing his appearance on the actor's photograph but also the script.

"I was reading the script and noting his reactions, the tone of his voice, imagining what he would be doing with his hands while he was in the witness box."

The process had been very different from drawing a real trial, she said.

"In this case, having to work from a script, I was working from imagination. I was given a few photographs of the actors but I was reminded that obviously many listeners have conjured up their own image of how each character looks."

She told BBC Radio 5 Live the only exception was Helen: "She has recently had a very short haircut and also lost weight so I did slightly alter her appearance."

Quenzler also revealed she had to tell friends she was working on a secret project, as she was sworn to secrecy over the outcome of the trial.

Creating the court sketches also took far longer than usual.

"Normally I will leave the court room after 15 minutes, then I take my notes off to a press room where I can work on my drawing. I usually have about an hour to work on it, and then it will be ready to be filmed for the lunchtime news.

"These took quite a lot long longer because of the research and referring back to the script."

Jackie Chan awarded honorary Oscar

Action movie star Jackie Chan is to be given an honorary Academy Award for his "extraordinary achievements" in film.Jackie Chan
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences also voted to give honorary Oscars to British editor Anne V Coates, casting director Lynn Stalmaster and documentary maker Frederick Wiseman.
Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs described the recipients as "true pioneers and legends in their crafts".
They will be honoured at the Academy's Governors Awards on 12 November.
Chan, 62, has starred in dozens of martial arts films in his native Hong Kong, including Police Story, Armour of God and their various sequels.
He went on to have huge international success with hits like Rumble in the Bronx, animated film Kung Fu Panda and the Rush Hour franchise.
In addition to starring and performing his own stunts, Chan has written, directed, produced and choreographed many of his films.
According to the Academy, he has spent four decades "charming audiences with his dazzling athleticism, inventive stunt work and boundless charisma".
The star posted a message on Facebook thanking his family, his fans and the Academy.

"I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to the Oscars for giving me this award of encouragement and recognising my achievements while I'm still 'young'," he wrote.
"I'm absolutely honoured to be the first Chinese in history to receive this award.
"To be honest, making an action movie isn't easy. It's normal for us to get hurt and bleed. Many of us have sustained a body full of injuries and I'm no exception to the case.
"That's why I'd like to share this honour with my brothers of the JC Stunt Team who have been with me through good times and bad times over the many years, and I'd like to share this award with every action movie star from all over the world!"
Chan, who has never been nominated for a competitive Academy Award, added that he had set himself a goal that the honorary statuette "won't be my last one".
"I don't think the Oscars have a rule where you can't win another golden statue after receiving an honorary award, right?" he continued.

Born in Reigate in Surrey in 1925, Anne V Coates has spent more than 60 years as a film editor and won an Oscar for her work on 1962's Lawrence of Arabia.
Now 90, she recently worked on Fifty Shades of Grey, the successful film version of EL James's racy international best-seller.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1927, Lynn Stalmaster has had a hand in casting more than 200 feature films, including The Graduate and Deliverance.
Frederick Wiseman, meanwhile, has made almost a film a year since 1967, among them his three-hour 2014 epic about the National Gallery in London.
The honorary awards are intended to celebrate "extraordinary distinction in lifetime achievement, exceptional contributions to the state of motion picture arts and sciences, or for outstanding service to the Academy".
Film-maker Spike Lee and actress Gena Rowlands were among the recipients of last year's special statuettes.
